I'm going to assume that this map is going to be the eventual range of the Burmese pythons once they get out of the Everglades.

I'm hoping those giant "ballooning" Japanese spiders eat all the pythons.

Weird factoid of the day... bobcats are eating the pythons. Evidently bobcats find python eggs to be a delicacy and have been eating their way through python nesting sites.

I know a guy that has a hunting camp in Tuscaloosa county and it is by a river (Black Warrior River) and he has seen plenty of big Lizards.

are there really alligators in Mississippi this far north?

An alligator was caught in a creek in my friend's neighborhood in Byhalia, MS a couple of years ago about 6 miles from the TN line. The TN Dept of Wildlife also posted video of some alligators in the Wolf River east of Memphis.

There's been a few sightings in Tuscaloosa but it's rare enough to make the news when someone sees one

They swim up sloughs and creeks on our land in Boligee (Greene County, AL) from the Tombigbee. We're about 45 minutes from Tuscaloosa

I have seen them in Lee and Itawamba counties in NE MS. Used to be fairly large one at Lake Lamar Bruce in Saltillo.
