About to spend a week in T-Town

Staying at Hotel Capstone (one of my customers). The last time I went I was only there for one night. I had a hard time figuring out a quality restaurant to eat at. After a little searching I found R Davidson Chophouse. I was not disappointed and I am sure I will revisit this week. I have also been to Dreamland BBQ (it was ok) in past visits What are some other good restaurants outside of the chains to visit while I am there?

Thomas's Rib Shack
Nick's Fillet House
RamaJama's
City Cafe
There's a "Tuscaloosa things" thread on the Bama board. Check it out.

Archibald’s bbq is better than Dreamland. Maybe my favorite bbq ever.
The Avenue Pub has some damn good brunch.
Loosa Brews has a great beer selection.
It’s been a couple years since I was last there, so hopefully these places are all still open

Avenue Pub's burgers are the shite. Southern Ale House is pretty good too.

They are, and all good suggestions. I worked at the Hotel Capstone back when I was in college. It was a Sheraton then.
Avenue Pub is probably my favorite place in town. Good beer selection, and great burgers. They usually have a burger special each night. Last time I was there they had a burger with goat cheese and a strawberry sriracchia glaze that was phenomenal. It's a casual place. The owner also has a Mexican place in town that's pretty good. Costa Mesa I think is the name of it.
For nicer places there's Chuck's(seafood and sushi), Evangeline's, and the place in the new Embassy Suites I'm forgetting the name of. Sidecar I think. Evangelines is my favorite of those 3.
There's also a Five there that's decent. Same owners as Red Bar if you're familiar with it.
Someone will probably recommend Cypress Inn, but it's fallen off a lot since its heyday in the 80's and 90's. It's not bad, just don't believe anyone that tells you it's the best in town.

City Cafe. If you like fried shrimp theirs is good, and fresh.
You can get just about anything you want to eat there. Go for lunch.
