How many truckers in the USA?
Lets say 2 million to 4 million and you are looking at 1%+ of jobs in the USA. When they are unemployed who will buy the goods they once carried?
If people do not have jobs, they do not earn the money necessary to grow the economy yet a few at the top in the ever growing attempt to get even richer never stop to think if this is good in the long term.

Looks like this is just for limited applications. The one being developed is a 20 mile link from the port to a terminal. No different than luggage conveyors in an airport.
This isn't to replace truck drivers in masse which would be impossible. But instead is a very specific shuttle system from one hub to another close buy where trucks and trains will then take over to the final destinations

The economy has never recovered from losing the buying power of mule skinners.
