Elvis? Hawk Tuah!

Damn boys, ain't this the SEC? Why does Marty Smith dress like a damn frat prep? I don't get it.

Skynyrd, Coors, BBQ, blue jeans, c'mon man.. I'm all SEC ready and you girls wanna talk about Elvis.

...but not his biggest hits.

Boy Named Sue - Shel Silverstein

Ring of Fire - June Carter Cash

Sunday Morning Coming Down - Kris Kristofferson

One Piece at a Time - Wayne Kemp

Let me make this thread SEC related.

A Vandy graduate from Alabama killed Elvis. He was also a graduate of former SEC school University of the South.

quote:

George Constantine Nichopoulos (October 29, 1927 – February 24, 2016), also known as Dr. Nick, was an American physician of Greek descent. He was best known as Elvis Presley's personal physician and was controversial due to the singer's longstanding abuse of prescription drugs. Although Nichopoulos retained his medical license after Presley's death, the Tennessee Medical Board eventually permanently revoked Nichopoulos's license in light of his practice of overprescribing to many patients over multiple years.

Born in Ridgway, Pennsylvania,[1] Nichopoulos moved to Anniston, Alabama, during his infancy where his father, a Greek immigrant, opened a restaurant called Gus' Sanitary Cafe.

From 1946 until 1948, he served in the Army Medical Corps in Germany before studying at the University of the South, where he received his B.S. in 1951.[1] Nichopoulos subsequently earned his M.D. at the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in 1959.

Elvis hammered more top shelf a$$ than probably anybody outside of Hugh Hefner.

lol what? What does what other people did have to do with what Elvis did. The guy dated a minor. That is pedo behavior. Sorry that your idol is a pedo

Elvis convinced her parents to let a 17 year old Priscilla visit him in LA for two weeks then he took Priscilla to Vegas and convinced her to write 2 weeks worth of postcards so his staff can mail them from LA and trick her parents.

During this time, Priscilla became addicted to amphetamines and sleeping pills to keep up with Elvis’s “lifestyle.”

And people think they waited until she was of age?

If you’ve never done the Sun Studio tour in Memphis, it’s very interesting. Where it all began.

Do some research on this matter and you will see Priscilla was the predator not Elvis.

Elvis was wrong but so were her parents.

exactly...its crazy. I think boomers on this board think that the heros of their past are incapable of being scumbags. Then they blame democrats of today or whatever nonsense the guy defending him said.

Elvis is a pedo, plain and simple. If you still like his music....like people do with Michael Jackson...just say that, but celebrating the man is pathetic

So I'll just start with some random A's and stop there.

Abba
AC/DC
Aerosmith
Aldo Nova
Alice Cooper
Allman Brothers
Ambrosia
America
Atlanta Rhythm Section
Axe

to name a few. All dwarf Elvis.

Cash wrote Ring of Fire but let the rights go to both June Carter and Merle Kilgore as the former needed money.

This was according to his first wife Vivian Liberto who seemed to not like June Carter very much.

I was in the middle of Philmont when MJ died. We didn't find out until afterward.
