I never had to deal with physical cravings so much. I really used it to deal with emotional shite. I still think about wanting to do it all the time.

Yeah man, lost my dad unexpectedly/tragically at the age of 24, had a lot of growing up to do. 6 months later: last grandparent dies, family dog dies, girlfriend of 6 years leaves, cousin dies, lose job and am facing 2 felony charges... totally understand the emotional side.

Fast forward 12 wild years and there it is: that clear head. Forgot what the old me was capable of/was in general.

Can't release any info just yet, but good things have come my way this past month and I'm sitting in the driver's seat of a potential life changing career move. Ironically, the connection was made at -- you guessed it -- the bar at lunch. Overheard a gentleman talking and introduced myself, and it's been a wild ride so far.

Sorry for rambling

@MoarKilometers, you really need to DM me brother... you'd appreciate the news

Thanks everyone for the kind words of encouragement

I don't know who needs to hear this, but here you go.
quote:

Samuel was young. Three times, the Lord called him. But did not reveal his will until the fourth time, because Samuel did not yet know the Lord.

It says word from the Lord was rare in those days — it's a remarkable passage. God wasn't speaking much in those days, and for a good reason. People were not listening much.

Sometimes God calls us, and we can’t hear him because we’re not listening. Sometimes we call on God and we don't wait long enough to get an answer. We pray about something. And then… well, what did God say? I don't know. I didn't wait for it.

If you pray about something, don't just do it once. Jesus said to ask. Continue to ask. It's in the continual tense. Ask, seek, knock. Keep coming back. Keep asking. Keep listening.

Thanks. 75 days today.

I'm going to a happy hour next week with Ray Lewis, Chad Ochocinco, Joe Thomas and others

You think I'm joking...

ETA: LOL seriously, I got invited to a happy hour at a firm that represents the NFLPA and those names were dropped. If it's legit, I'll post pictures.

You fricking did it.

Don't ever let anyone tell you that you can't do something — YOU did that.

Think about how hard it was. Don't go back. It's not worth everything you went through and everything you've overcome.

Proud of you man.
