Yes, but closer to 2". There's enough model consensus to support that forecast. Now we wait.

I wouldn't worry too much about that yet. The HRRR and NAM will spit out different solutions from now till nowcast time. I think you will be happy. That being said, quit ragging on West TN, especially Memphis. Dyersburg and Memphis might as well be in different countries when it comes to winter weather. I think ratios will turn out tremendous for yall. Wouldn't be surprised if actual ratios were 20:1.

I could have sworn Memphis has beaten wherever I've lived in TN since 2010. But ok, I'll leave Memphis alone. Y'all are getting the shaft while I may cash in.

If we get just 2" over, I will be ready for spring. I'll join Bruce's little severe wx party.

Nothing for Louisville. But we've got a -15 wind-chill planned for Wednesday so there's that.

Enjoy your snow if y'all got it

You are young dude. You will see plenty of snow. You are a short drive from the mountains. Take a short trip to Newfound Gap and you'll see more snow than you have your whole life. Do you not remember the big Nashville snow a few years ago where Memphis got royally shafted. It happens to all of us.

I do remember that storm- I was in Knoxville, hahaha. 2016. That was a year after I left for UT.

Well, ai know you're no happy. This is the first of many let downs it seems. Makes the storms that pan out that much sweeter. Winter is not over yet....

We can always count on an early March threat, and if the MJO comes back around in mid Feb. we will be more favorable. The MJO is VERY important.

There's still some hope, but dang that 12Z NAM run was nasty. Hope it corrects itself. The others still look okay for my area.

Are we still looking Ok for Knoxville? I saw some worry start to creep in on the Weather thread on VQ earlier this morning. My boss just sent out the "Don't drive into work tomorrow if it's bad" email so I've got my fingers crossed.

I hate to say it, but no. What was 2-3" yesterday is now almost nothing. Even Gatlinburg may be shut out.

Meanwhile, frickin Louisiana will get 3" for like the 3rd year in a row. Just unreal how Tennessee never gets anything.

Move to SC. Then we'll talk about the complete and utter lack of winter weather. It's supposed to be in the low 70s with thuderstorms in a few days. I just want a little snow..enough to cover the ground. Apparently even that is too much to ask.
