I couldn't get the link to work I'm sorry say, visiting the folks and their internet is god awful, but I'll try and find the meet on the net somewhere.

Gratsi for a big win. A dominating win over a program with the pedigree of Okie State is nothing to sneer at. You guys are red hot at the moment.

I'm just happy to have found something to replace basketball. At least for the time being.

I know! Sad, but I'm hoping they don't take the football recruits to the basketball game today.

It hasn't been too bad so far today. I was worried about that though. We don't have to win. Just don't lose embarrassingly.

Question for you wrestling affecionados.

How an individual national champion is determined is pretty self explanatory. Win the tournament at your weight class.

How is the team national championship determined? So many places for each wrestler that finishes 1st? 2nd? 3rd? And so on?

Points are awarded to the team for every victory, just like a duel. The more wrestlers a school has that keeps advancing, the more possibility for points. You can have 8 wrestlers make it to the finals and all lose and still win the tourney because you had so many wrestlers earning points along the way.

Thanks for that. Do the matches in the wrestlebacks count for just as many points?

No, let's say 8 teams have wrestlers in the quarterfinals. Those teams are awarded the points for reaching the quarterfinals, then 4 teams will receive points for reaching the semis. So you get points by wrestlers moving forward, not wrestlebacks. Wrestlebacks are for individual pride for placing.

Guess we're resting some guys today against Northern Illinois. Waters didn't wrestle and Brennan wrestled in his place. Proceeded to get pinned before the damn Mizzou Network would load for me. Down 6-0.
