When Rondo returns? The Celtics traded for another guard a week or so back and Flip is seeing less PT. His shooting stats are among the lowest in the league. Rondo hopes to return before the Feb 12th all star break. I believe Flip's first year is guaranteed.

He will probably get sent to the D-League, but I think his roster spot should be safe unless they make more moves. They only have 14 players and they can carry 15.

Losing Phil Pressey won't really help their payroll much...he is the lowest paid player on the team.

LINK

(still, a salary that I would kill for)

I sure wish he was still with Mizzou...we went from a leader in assists to abysmal without him.

HUH??? 13-2 without him & no way would we be that with him. He's a selfish prick & I'm glad he's gone.

I don't know if he actually is a selfish prick, but he sure played like one last year...

Had an impressive 10 assists and no turnovers in a Celtics win. He was 0-5 from the floor.

It was a really frustrating game as a Raptor fan. Pressey controlled the tempo the whole way and Stevens seemed pleased with him.

Stevens on Pressey: "I thought he was absolutely terrific. I thought when things got tough, he got tough. I thought he pulled guys together"

We just lost to Georgia...at home, first loss in 2 years and then we barely beat Auburn. Two of the worst teams in the country. Think about that for a bit. This does not bode well for the rest of the year. We cannot afford to lose many more and still get into the NCAA tourney.

As un-clutch and selfish as Pressey was last year, at least he could create a few assists.

I agree on the assists part. I think why I have such as distain for Flip is because we could have been a lot better if he ever realized that a good game stat for him should be something like this: 7 pts (2 of 4 shooting), 12 assists, 1 T/O, 4 boards instead 15 pts (6 of 20 shooting), 7 assists, 6 T/O & 4 boards.

With Rondo back the Celtics lost by 2 points and Flip played 23 minutes with 5 assists, 3 steals and 3 TO's. A bit of the old Flip emerged 1-7 from the field, 0-2 from 3pt land.

With Rondo back the Celtics traded Crawford who had been the starting point guard to the Warriors. Flip is safe.
