Who would you like the SEC to add?

Obviously ND would be great but i like the rumor for fsu, clemson, unc and uva floating around. We could steal wvu from the big 12 and make it a 24 team league and add 4 new state footprints if we could get ND. Lot of academic prestige in nD, unc and uva to join vandy in making the conference smarter.

ACC has a nasty 10 year payment of Grant of Rights if a team leaves. That pretty much means no ACC teams to the SEC unless everyone votes to disband. No way Syracuse and Wake do that. B16 has really got the SEC boxed in. I don't think SEC adds anyone until someone figures out a way to exit the ACC. But I can see the B16 looking at Mizzou, CO, Oregon and Washington. That would push their media deal to about 120 million per team.

The ACC is really the bottleneck in this situation. I think the Big (whatever the hell number they are up to right now) has got to add some more teams out West because otherwise USC and UCLA are going to have brutal travel schedules.

I don't think state footprints matter as much the way they used to.
UNC is the easiest choice. ND would be great, but I doubt they'd come. didn't they traditionally play USC? Big10 is their likely draw.
UVA would be good, too.
FSU probably is worth their share of revenue, not sure about Clemson.
People don't look at it enough, but existing alumni base is the biggest bottom line determinant of a school's value. If a school is entertaining to watch, suddenly the alumni are fans again.

I’d like UNC and Virginia. Tv market makes sense, Tom of money at those schools, and worse football programs - most years

I bet every contract lawyer in Tallahassee has been retained. On the chance that 1 can break the code.

1. ND has to join the ACC in football if they join a conference.
2. Do they take a 50% stake in the B16 network, and then allow the B16 and SEC to pillage the ACC by canceling the exit penalty. B16 gets ND, VT and VA. SEC gets FSU, Miami, Clemson and NC.
