the more threes this team takes, the less successful it will be

The more they score in translation the more successful they will be

The more accurate this team is at hitting a 3’s, the fewer other teams will give up. Which opens the paint. Over the last 7 games they are shooting 40% from 3. That includes 4 quad 1 games.

Autocorrect going to do its thing, I'll catch it about half the time.

But we are lost in translation

I mean lost in transition

Right, our offense generally consisted of walking the ball up the court against a set defense and throwing it around the perimeter for 30 seconds and then jacking up a 3...for the most part.

They were way more aggressive last night which led to a lot of better looks and shots more in rhythm than desperation

That’s not what the offense was about. Even prior to the Florida game Mizzou has been among the nation’s leaders in post touches.

Paint touches against Florida were different then what Mizzou had been doing though. Only a few were on postups. They did a great job hitting the dive man off the pnr and using their dribble to get there. Those are both more efficient ways to score in the paint.

It’s like we’re pretending that we’re not watching the games, I guess.

Playing with as much urgency on offense as defense.....finally. Good job Cuonzo.
