This team today looked like what I had hoped for.

Jones had a great dunk. Post was a factor. Clark played ok. Some of that is weak competition, no doubt.

But I wish those guys had gotten more time earlier in the year.

Before today I kept thinking back on how Norm Stewart got Chris Heller to start playing like a boss out of nowhere for us at the center spot late in the season not once but TWICE, in 1991 and 1993, to help lead us to conference tournament championships both years. Something similar somewhere out of the frontcourt has to happen this year for this team to do anything and it is unlikely to be Rosburg or JW3 as they've pretty much shown what they've got. If the Post/Jones combo can do their best Chris Heller, the team can at least go down fighting if not do something rather than just go quietly. But the thing with Heller is he started playing well at home, on road, vs good teams and bad. These guys looked good today at home vs the worst team in the league. That's good but its just a baby step. Need a lot more and need it every game from here on out, or the season dies, its that simple.

But why didn't they see more time versus other bad teams? USCe? Ole Miss? Alabama? Vandy?

Dunno. Why did Chris Heller get buried behind all-time greats like the immortal Jim Horton until the last six games of the 1991 season? Only the coaches watching the practices know these things for sure.

Whatever the hell has happened up to now, there's still time for somebody in the frontcourt to miraculously get their shite together and we've seen it happen before is all I'm saying, which is kinda sorta what you were saying too I think sorta ish.

I like the energy Jones seems to bring to the court. Something this team has sorely lacked. Even as good as Brown is, I wouldn't say he bring energy to the floor. He stays pretty even keeled 24/7.
