I really feel like we win all three games. I feel the arky game will be the closest but A&M and UT we win by double digits. I think if we go to the ship and we face Moo St, we win that game. Bama and the Barners beat us by 10+. Lets get to that Outback Bowl against OSU.

We win them all, win the SEC, get left out of the playoffs, internet implodes, Mike Slive has a coronary during a presser saying that the playoff committee is full of shite and then we get some bowl game in North Dakota against Indiana.

Which would be worse for Mizzou to handle. Winning out including the SEC championship and no SEC team making the playoff....or winning out and winning the SEC championship but having the Bama or MSU team you beat get into the playoff instead of Mizzou? Both would hurt but which would hurt the most?

To be honest, I figured the road to SEC relevance would take longer and it still might.

But for now is everything is free money.

Agreed, we've hiccuped this year but thanks to Johnny Heisman and Sumlin our first 2 years have been a blast as well. No hardware for us (tad bit jealous) but respectable and 2 great bowl wins which is way better than the 3 or more 5-7 seasons we envisioned when A&M first signed up for the SEC.

8-4 for us this year is still free money if we can pull it off

If we run the table and don't get into the playoffs (and no SEC does either), I'll be pissed but can live with it. Winning the SEC and then not getting into the playoffs but another SEC team does, I'll have the coronary instead of Slive

Even winning the SEC, it's hard to justify making the playoffs when you lose to Indiana. Just my opinion.

honestly, the playoff committee should have created a 6 team playoff that included the 5 winners of the 5 major conferences and 1 wild card team to be fair to the independents/mid major teams.

if you can't win your conference, you don't belong in the playoffs.

my opinion.

I'm sure I'll be pissed, but more pissed for having lost to Indiana.

Only a mizzou "fan" would be pissed with an SEC championship. Geezus our fanbase is full of losers.

If we won an SEC title, EVERYTHING ELSE DOESNT MEAN shite! That includes playoffs, IU losses, etc. Celebrate it or quit following sports because you'll never be happy.

I agree with you. At this growth point in the program in a rebuilding season, an SEC Championship would a home run. A grand slam. My god the shite we could talk! We Big Seven, to the team we beat, to South Carolina/Georgia/Florida, etc., etc. lol

And if the 4 and 5* won't come on the heels of an SEC title, they'll never come.

I'll be celebrating for 8 months straight if we won the SEC and I'd flame every blowhard on the Rant every day the entire time for that 8 months. It would be GLORIOUS!

My post must not have been clear. I wouldn't be pissed about winning the SEC championship. shite, I'd be ecstatic. The talk was about the reaction to not making the playoffs even if we win the SEC and whether we'd be pissed at the powers that be if we are passed over. My only point was that I'd be just as pissed at losing the Indiana game, something that was within Mizzou's control, than I would be pissed at the decision makers who passed us over.

See, I agree with this 100%. If I had a say in it, obviously Mizzou would be included in the playoffs if we win the SEC championship. But I'd be lying if I said there isn't a dark part of me that would absolutely enjoy the melt that would happen if Mizzou won the SEC AND no SEC teams made the playoffs because of it.

right now it's very doubtful that if UGA won the SEC CC they would make the playoffs.

UGA compared to us, they're ranked, we aren't they're a old school SEC big power, we aren't, all because they got destroyed by an unranked Fl team. If you want to play in a championship you just can't drop a game like Indiana, especially at home and look really bad doing it.

If we get rivered in Atl this year of course it's better to get that far than not make the trip, but we won the draw landing in the East when the opportunity really couldn't have been much better.

As far as the playoffs. If UGA wins the CC, it's bad, if we win it, it's worse and if the Gators win it, it's like the earth opened up and swallowed an entire conference.

We could win 5 straight SEC titles and we wont even sniff a Blue chip player, it will never happen.
