Admittedly, I know nothing about this guy, and I'm to lazy to look him up. Sounds like he's a DE/LB? Can he play SS? We don't seem to outright recruit those types, that's why I'm curious.

On the subject of Ramirez. I live in Lees Summit. I met his mother shortly after he committed to Mizzou. She was a nice woman, but didn't seem sold on him actually coming to Mizzou. I was working, and she had an appt in the building I was in at the time, so the convo didn't last that long. She didn't get into any specific, but definitely left the impression that until he shows up at Mizzou and plays, don't bank on his commitment.

I kept this to myself because I didn't feel it was worth telling this experience until now. I hope he does play for us because we really need him. I'm not BS'ing or making shite up...just sharing.

According to Gabe, there are doubts Hambrick is an official commitment. I kind of always felt there was some miscommunication but we will see what happens.

Interesting...

And I certainly do hope that Ramirez ends up a Tiger, the kid is going to be a monster at the college level IMO

Yeah, I live literally blocks from Lees Summit West, where it seems Mizzou has a pretty good hold on their top recruits. Lees Summit in general is a Mizzou stronghold so it's nice living here being so close to the kansas border.

It was really just a chance meeting when I ran into his mother. She was standing behind me, I heard his name, turned and smiled at her. She smiled back and told her I knew who he was and a brief conversation ensued. What she said and the body language she used just left me the impression him coming to Mizzou could go either way, and didn't seem to matter to her either.

Maybe Darren Hambrick comes from a parallel universe in which Bethune-Cookman is a BCS contender and 10 time SEC champion, and where our coaches did offer and were thrilled and elated to land him. But because Egon crossed the streams, he ended up in our universe instead, thus as far as he knows he had a commitable offer from Mizzou but meanwhile our coaches from here in this universe have no idea WTF he's talking about. Then all hell will break lose when David Yost thinks about the Stay Puft Marshmellow Man even though Pinkel said for everyone to keep their minds clear.

Mind you its just a theory.

Semo, wouldn't read to much into this Ramierez speculation. Usually when this stuff is legit, there's usually landing spots mentioned. Know ones named any possible landing spots for him. There's usually alot of offers comming in that wasn't before. He's already visited Arkansas that I know of and still commited to Mizzou happily. This tells me it's all conjecture.

From all I've read on Ramierez, he's stoked about comming to Mizzou. He'll be surrounded by some good linebackers to learn from and Mizzou is known for developing some good Defensive talent. Why would he go anywhere else? I mean if there were alot of highly touted 5* LB's commiting right now, maybe it would make sense. But thats not the case. As Judge Judy says, "if it doesn't make sense, it's probably not true."

This is another reason I wished they would let recruits sign when they commit. If they don't want to sign then don't commit early. I think there needs to be some type of commitment rules in place to control some of this team jumping with recruits.

I go to Lee's Summit North right now and I would agree about LS being pro-Mizzou, but there definitely are some beakers... at least in high school. Most are just "fans" because they were good at basketball though.

I think Nick ends up at Mizzou, especially with the troubles down south of here.
