This is UConn.

UCONN is averaging over 400 yards/game. They have 1 game this season with fewer than 400. Yards per play and points per drive are better metrics to determine how the defense is playing, especially with 2 tempo offenses.

It's just hard to get excited for games like this when you haven't seen them do it in league play.

The irony of "Show Me", is that his teams haven't showed us shite in the SEC.

I get it.

It's just that bitch, bitch, bitch all week. Spew vitriol constantly.

Team comes out and plays well and it's literally crickets.

It's almost like this board likes the negativity better.

Nah, couldn't be...

Over his last five games, Drew Lock is 114-for-166 (68 percent) for 1,668 yards. He has 20 TDs and just three INTs in that span.

That includes games against Georgia, Auburn, Kentucky, Idaho, UCONN. We will find out next week if this is just beating up on bad teams, or if they are actually playing better.

What came first?
The negativity or the losing?

Good game would probably be a better response.

Doubling down on the absurdity is not a good look.

Or hey, even better...just be honest and say "I hate Odom and I don't like us winning"

I don’t mind negativity. When you’re beating a team 31-5 and you just moan about the defense. Then it just becomes a little much.

Oh my dude. We beat the sisters of the poor again. I'm so excited Odumb is beating the shite out of teams he should be destroying. Literally the only two Ds as bad or worse at football than ours.

I'm happy they're doing. There's zilch to be excited about though until Barry beats P5 teams and SEC teams.

Nobody said you needed to be excited.

Let's just not go full radio silence after we've shite all over the dude all week. It's almost as if y'all are invested in his failure or something.

I agree with that. It’s also a little much when the pro-Odom folks say prior to the game that this game doesn’t mean much and that the next four games will be more important and then lecture us about not being excited about beating Mississippi Valley State Tech.

My guess is that there would have been relative radio silence even if we were undefeated going into this game. It was UConn after all.

Having said that, I thought it was probably the best all around game so far. Defense did what they were supposed to do. Offense did what they were supposed to do. ST was what it was.

I didn’t watch it. It’s on CBSSN and I don’t get that channel.

It looked like the defense played better than usual and the offense played about on par with its last four games - pretty good.

Just be pro Missouri. I think that’s it. Celebrate wins the over Idaho, Missouri State to Oklahoma, Georgia. We aren’t fighting cancer here or trying to overthrow a dictator. I like the negativity. It creates conversation. But I think you can be critical and enjoy a win even if it’s over UConn without being berated for it or giving some state of the program speech over it

I’m not pro Odom. I had hopes for Odom because I know that if he’s successful he would stick with the program for the long haul and it could be a good run with stability.

I’ve said fire Odom. I’m not happy with the team, the lack of coaching, or the obvious lack of success as a result.

I do think the talent on defense has fallen off significantly since 2015, and I don’t expect a 2015 defense. That team had talent that’s hard to replace and we lost a lot of the replacement pieces too. I think that given the losses on D the last few years, nobody should expect a 2015 defensive unit. But, I also expect a lot more than what we’ve seen.

That being said, I think the D showed some improvement the last 2 games. I don’t know that it means much given the opposition. But, we didn’t play Missouri State tonight, and UCON has had a decent offense this year.

I’m not an Odom apologist. I don’t know what we have yet. Odom has a ton to prove to me for me to be okay with him staying. Even if we win out, I’m not excited about next year.

MIZ is in a shitty spot right now. I just want it to get better. I hope it does whether that starts with Odom this year, or a replacement.

It all starts next week against a bruised Florida team that probably is looking for a win. We’ll see.
