Currently 20. We will be passed by FSU, Psu, Bama, A&M, Auburn, OU. We should pass Baylor and possibly Louisville. So final 24 to 25.

Not bad for a new hire without the ability of direct contact,

Any Mizzou fans still wanted Odom back as HC? Not me! I am happy with the results so far.

I have some suspicions based on conversations with other SEC fans. That’s it though.

I think we finish 25-30th. 30th is nothing to be ashamed of considering coach could only recruit in his first year from zoom for a large part.

Yep Odom never had a top 30 class so I would definitely be pleased with top 30. Also considering some of the state's top talent committed to schools that they had been talking with the coaching staff for years, so Drink was at a disadvantage. Hopefully he's establishing relationships with 2022 kids already as MO is looking fairly loaded for that class

I'm not sold that we finish even that high but I still think Drink has done an outstanding job. I'll add, not only a first year coach fighting lockdowns, but Mizzou isn't exactly coming off of solid seasons in the recent past. Odom at least had recent history of having won the east just before he took over.

I’m happy with Drink but if you look at average recruit rating we are around #37 right now. Plus we have a few less scholarships to give out than everyone else. So we may drop into the mid 40s when we get to NSD.
Not significantly better than normal. But considering all the extra adversities happening right now , I’ll take it.

That is why he was fired! He did not get the results and he was losing the team, losing to others that he beat with no problem, and key recruits!

What do you mean we have less? our punishment from NCAA is scholarship players on our roster for this upcoming season.

We’ll add a couple more 4 stars and Macon and Tollison will both get bumps in their ratings

ETA We are 26 in avg star rating

JQ- i counted 1 above us on 247 team rank (Louisville) with an avg. rank lower than ours and 18 below us in the top 100 with an avg. higher than ours. That’s how i can up with 37 or so.

Does the transfers count for this class? Meaning they will play right away and should be good too. Those 3 transfer I see should help right away. That got to be good too?

I see Missouri going down to maybe 6 spots. Around 28. If you remember this about Barry Odom saying I let the OC take care of the offense side of the ball. I know nothing about offense. He said something like that. That is a huge red flag! HC job is to oversees everything. Drinkwitz probably doing that. May have one coach he brought over with him over look the defense and reports to the HC and they would go over some things what to expect from the HC. Odom lost control of the offense because he let Dooley do his thing and trusted him. That is the problem. No one in the SEC really liked Dooley and they were spot on with that one. Recruiting is a lot better and Mizzou should get some more 4* recruits. That means at least 4 4* recruits this class and that would be very good and Odom got nothing as good as 2 4 * recruits in any one class. ESL is the key for Missouri and Odom couldn't do it. This is the key to jump start his first year at Mizzou. If he can go 12-1 at Appalachian State. Hc can do better than 7-5. Everything he did from hiring assistants to recruiting have been much better than Odom.

Lol, well I’m not sure why you created a mathematic formula for it when you can just filter by average ranking.

But how many recruits did those schools have that are currently above us. As the classes fill out, the blue chip kids will choose the blue bloods, so they will zoom past us, but it is very likely that several schools will se a drop in average as they fill out their classes.

The only blue blood behind us is Florida St.

We will fill up with more 3* than 4* so our avg rating will drop but that is also true of several schools in front of us.
