ACC Guy here. FSU is not an easy draw. AT all. They struggled down the stretch yea, but that team can score with the best of them and they have talent. The thing with them, however, is that they’re chronic underachievers and are lazy on D. Score a lot. Give up a lot.

If FSU speeds the Tigers up, they just don’t have the bodies to keep pace.

Why do you think that Florida St. is an easy draw?

I think he meant that we were stuck in the 8/9 game and were going to be facing a #1 seed. We got the most favorable #1 seed we could’ve got as a matchup.

I think Mizzou has the advantage on defense. If FSU let's Robertson, Jontay, and MPJ shoot open 3's all day we'll win.

FSU is poor defensively. They are really bad at defendiythe 3 pt line.

They are big though (two 7 footers), and they can score and rebound.

Like I said. It depends if FSU feels pissed to play D which they often aren’t.

To put into perspective, they were neck and neck with UNC. Barely won that game.

A lot will depend upon how advanced MPJ is with his shot come game day.

I think they need to operate a lot of ball screens to get Porter wide open looks. Not sure he’ll have the ability to create his own shot given his conditioning level and rust.

FSU has size though. Tillman needs to play under control.

It's not an easy draw, but we are in the easiest bracket. If MPJ can give some quality minutes we can beat FL st. They are a 9.

The other 9 seeds are Alabama, Kansas St., and NC state (which just beat FL st. by 20). Which do you prefer?

The first game is kind of meaningless. I’d rather we were playing K State. But Virginia in the second round is a no go.

We got as good of a draw as we deserved.

I look at it as the #1 8 seed, which is kind of funny, because I thought we were going to get a 9 seed. Was kind of hoping for a 10 seed but honestly rather play Xavier than Duke, UNC, Cinci, and especially Purdue.

The three toughest teams in our part of the bracket are Xavier, Gonzaga, and tOsu. The only team that has an easier path to the elite 8 is Kansas. Not that we have enough players for an elite 8 run, but it could happen.

but then we catch either NC or Mich and it's all over.

Agreed. As a UNC fan as well, I was quite content with the West bracket. Already beat OSU and Michigan. By far the easiest path to the final four.

As for Mizzou... they simply don’t have the depth to take on deep teams unless they’re dropping 10+ 3s a game and playing Lock down d.

Michigan always comes on strong at this time of the year under Beilein. His offense is pretty sophisticated and hard to prepare for on short notice.

This MU team is capable of beating anyone and losing to anyone in this tournament. That's what you get with a talented, but young team. Depth and how well they can incorporate MPJ into the mix will be the issues. Hopefully they can get by FSU, get Barnett back and see what happens?

I’d agree if MPJ has never gotten injured and Barnett hasn’t gotten suspended.

Given the tiny talent the team has left, our starters are going to be gassed at the end. FSU is deep enough to through lots of bodies at Mizzou to foul Tillman out early in which case ballgame.

The 3-point line is the equalizer. I hope MPJ has found his shot.

All I’m looking for is a competitive game at this point.

Don't complain, this has been our longest stay in the tourney in years!

If Mizzou doesn’t slow the game down they’ll get run off the floor. They don’t have the players to play a fast high scoring game.

Talk about not being in sync. Wow they look bad. Maybe MPJ will want to come back to prove something next year. Looking for a silver lining.

Geist jacks up a 3 to end another first half possession. I'm tired of Geist bricking everything. Do we have any plays? Can someone else jack up a 3?
