Hard to consistently compete with the top three teams in this league (Bama, UGA, Florida) without closing the talent gap.

Those teams have dudes. We slowly starting to get dudes where it matters to be the squad we all want to see.

I hope with Drink/Walters playing three freshmen in the secondary, it helps for the future.

For a freshmen 2nd stringer, I thought Burdine stayed with Pickens well. Pickens is a beast. Rakestraw didn't look good but has been a stud in other games.

Severely outmatched, missing several players and just flat out didn’t play well. Adds up to an arse kicking.

Is what it is. Flush it and move on. Beat Moo St next week and 6-4 is a good season all things considered for year 1

Ive been thinking this forever. As admirable as coaching up a roster of 3 star players to be competitive seems, facing teams stacked with 4 and 5 star plays waiting to get on the field is discouraging.

I'm not concerned about this game at all. As I briefly stated in the game thread, we just don't match up well against Georgia since we landed in the SEC. Georgia has and always will have a big recruitment advantage over us. Drink has a stellar first season, all things considered. I think he can close the gap with the top SEC teams not only in recruiting, but with results. How much is yet to be determined, but I like what I see so far.

Our place in the SEC east will be to aim for the top but will have good seasons when uga or flo are off and we finish second. Maybe once in awhile they both have an off year and we sneak into the title game. We just dont have the recruiting possibilities those two do. We have to hope tenn continues toward nubber status of irrelevance and their solid recruiting will dry up.
I feel like we strive to be the auburn of the east. Sneaking in a couple shots at a NC every decade would be incredible.

I honestly wasn’t expecting this kind of game. They way y’all have played most of the season worried the crap out of me. Good luck in basketball and look forward to a normal fb season next year.

In case anyone wonders if Drink might delude himself into thinking he's closer than he is, he's not.
