Tigers and Vols tip in a few minutes...

I really think this is a big game for us. Even though we’re home, it could be our best win to date. We need it! Hopefully the 2 bigs stay out of foul trouble, and our PG does his job. I hope the officials let them play like the Georgia game. That will help us immensely.

Puryear is playing like a man possessed. Rebounding, scoring. Still too many turnovers. Uncontested turnovers too. Just being careless with the ball.

Yeah...we didn’t make a 3 in the 1st half and we’re still tied. Hopefully that will change in the 2nd half. Defense is playing well. Take care of the ball, make some shots, and hit the boards hard!

You can just feel it slipping away. Up 10 with over 5 minutes left, and we get conservative trying to run clock. When will Cuonzo learn to keep playing! Don’t go into a shell. The game isn’t over with! Do what got ya up 10. If we’re up 10 at the 1 minute mark, then we can run clock. Until then, we aren’t good enough to do that. All we’re doing is giving the ?Vols life!

Well The refs are taking some of the steam away too. Non call on goal tend and these touch fouls that seem to plague Mizzou are just awful this year.
Tilmon laughed at a lot of these questionable calls this year, but seems he’s starting to get frustrated as season goes on. Hope it doesn’t get in is head too bad.

Refs let them play the first 25 minutes and then decided they wanted to tighten it up? Come on, at least be consistent

I think the 1st half was all half court offense for both teams. Slow play, and there weren’t any whistles to be had. The game picked up in intensity in the 2nd, and the whistles started coming out.

Coach has to learn that with a 10 point lead with 5 plus minutes left, we have to keep playing. We cannot slow it down. Continue running the offense and get good shots. If they don’t fall, well thats basketball. When we try to ice the ball, it just energizes the opponent.

I don’t know why he would complain. Towards the end of the game there were 10 fouls on Mizzou and 4 on the Vols.
