It makes sense. We have an OC that was a QB coach in the NFL and has connections. We have a good WR corps coming back, our O-Line will still be stout, and three great running backs. Our only missing piece is a top notch QB.

Despite the confidence from our side, I say he goes to Auburn and Gus is fired midseason because their schedule is brutal and he can't develop a QB worth a shite.

If the rumor of this dirty "mentor" qb coach advising Bryant back in SC is true, then yeah Auburn will win with under the table money.
1 year of a very average QB is not worth that risk, but it is for someone like Gus who is oh so close to being fired.

Gus having to go see Kelly Bryant less than 48 hours after he did an official tells me they aren't confident he is picking Auburn or that they're behind and are trying to get KB to change his mind.

I think you underestimate the desperation of Gus and the dirtiness of Auburn. He could have picked Auburn and Gus is simply delivering the payment, no loose ends.

I've always thought it was down to us two. Relationships and coaching are two big things to him, and Gus hasn't coached a QB to decent status since Scam, and he doesn't have the relationship that Chad and he have. He will obviously be under good coaching at Zou.
