It was a predictable performance against a Texas-like team with a little more shot-making ability.

What’s not predictable are CDG lineups. Mark Mitchell played about 20 seconds in the last 6 minutes.

We had Warrick running point for the last 6 minutes. Why? We didn’t get in our offense on the most important possession of the game and ended up with a contested 18 foot jump shot. Crews bailed the offense out on the previous possession.

Marcus Allen play about 5 1/2 minutes of the last six. I assume coach had him in there for rebounding. All I saw him do was turn the ball over and be a blank space on offense.

Conference hopes are gone but no big surprise there. Wish we could capitalize on one of these surprise seasons someday.

And the figs at RockM are proposing another extension ...

Because a team of transfers are over achieving from preseason expectations ...

I like Gates, not sure we need to break ground on a statue (or another extension) just yet in year 3 ...

As to game, teams are going to take away Grill (and Crews) ... so guys like Mitchell, Bates, Ant, Warrick, Perkins are going to have to do better on offense than chucking up contested 2s and 3s ... starting Pierce is dumb, playing Gray 25 feet from the rim on a dribble weave hand off ... dumb ...

Good effort but need more from the starting 5 ...

The point is to get experience from others so other players will be good and be a threat as well. Other teams will have to cover everyone. Not just a few which can be a problem. Spreading it out for the stretch run to make it harder to defend them all.
