RB's -Im still really iffy about the RB group. Cody and Nate are both quality backups to me, none are legit SEC starters.

Who Im not worried about.

QB's- I think its better this year whether that's work cook or whoever. The group is stronger so that's good.

OL - I think they end up being really good.

DE on the defense.

On offense, QB is most obvious

We need to see the OL improve, which I think it will.

RB is interesting in what Tavorous Jones and the incoming freshman (Jamal Roberts?) might bring. But, chatter is that Nate is the fasted dude on offense right now.

we always do fine at RB. I dont know why that would be a concern. Good OL play will make any D1 RB successful.

Offensive play calling. Hopefully it is no longer a weakness.

Curious to see how Moore does.

TE is extremely thin

RB is below average for SEC

Thin yes, but norfleet apparently is the real deal.

Not for sure, but the 2 deep at a few positions could be a weakness. I’m not sure about the 2 deep at DE, LB, and Star. If Moore and Gaddy work out the DE should be good

QB could be a weakness especially if Cook is QB1, but we will be deep at that position.

#1 QB for it to be Augsust 18th and no announcement is very concerning...Drinks biggest issue is horn got one series in a 6-6 season that totally moronic I've coached multiple sports some as a expert and others just knowing how to coach kids and Drink is committing coach suicide with these practices ...look at Pinkel ..Daniel saved the Tigers is frosh year vs. Iowa St...Gabbert got in every game prior to taking over ...the most important position is being neglected and blown off like a special teams slot...so when the wheels fall off get the 20 million dollar check ready for Drink to be someone's else's OC as Mizzou hires another "project"

Last season games were not blowouts and made it harder for others to get in and get some reps. This season it should be different.

A few things that will help hire a new coach that is not a “project”.

1. New NIL law
2. Good in-state recruiting area’s
3. Playing in the SEC
4. Support from the State, AD, and the University.
5. Paying $6.5 Million to a “project”

The new $55 million TV contract makes it easier to hire, fire, and pay coaches. A $20 million buyout is nothing compared to what some coaches get in the SEC. A&M is stuck with Jimbo Fisher and his $95 million fully guaranteed contract through 2031. If he is fired in 2029 he still gets $20 million.

We don’t need to worry about buying Drinkwitz contract. We now have money and support we haven’t had in the past.

Is this why Horn is getting reps as a potential being the starter for game 3? Without an improved OL unit Horn wouldn't be able to get the job done. That is why I felt this is the year for Horn to be the starter if the OL unit is good enough to get the job done this season.

TE is way worse than QB, that position is so bad its basically an afterthought. If I had to rank the worse units for Mizzou going into the season I'd say it's:

1. Tight Ends
2. Defensive Ends
3. Running Back (I like Cody Schrader but he is not a starting SEC quality RB)
4. Offensive Line

I'd say Mizzou's WR & DT rooms are the two strengths of the team as far as talent, and particularly depth, goes.

This sounds like a legit reason to start Cook. I could see the coaches letting Cook take some hits while the OL was working out some kinks. Let Horn come in on the 2nd or 3rd drive.

TE is bad because Drink hasn’t used the position like Pinkel did since he got here. The 23 class has 2 4* TE kids. Norfleet got offered by every P5 program that matters.

RB is Oline dependent. Hopefully Jones lives up to his recruiting.

I'll believe it when I see it. SHOW. ME.

It starts up front. OL is super important to having a good run and pass game.
