Home attendance poor to start the season and will be embarrassingly low the last few games. He has tickets to sell-Odom will be gone at the end of the year. Start the new football complex with a new coach. Just hope there is a big $$$ booster in the wings to pay a big name coach.

Not sure how much Odom has to do with the shitty attendance, but he’s certainly teetering on the hot seat now.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I don't see it that way. Dooley let him down, but has been solid this year. Lock was not accurate, but no way in hell he puts someone else in. It was a shite show and they lost by a last second FG on the road in a fricken monsoon.

You’re not wrong, but ultimately he is responsible.

Also, most worrisome is we continually play like dumbasses. Mistake after mistake. We just never put together even a semi clean game, and the shame of it is we’d be pretty damned good if we could.

I don’t know...looking at the schedule. 6-6 maybe? That’s if we don’t fold up after Bama demoralizes us. I’m just not sure how safe he’s be in that scenario

He cannot recruit, thus DBs that cannot cover, and receiver's that cannot catch. His personal play calling is bizarre, he gambles when he should lay up, and lays back when he should gamble. He literally stood next to Dooley in the 2nd half, and evidently concurred on that brain dead red zone offence. He cannot seem to get along with any coordinator or position coach respected outside the program.

I disagree. The talent is not bad (and yes I fully agree or DBs suck)

The dumbass mistakes every game will eventube his undoing.

Nobody is going to recruit all that well here. We need a guy who can identify and develop and what sucks is for the most part he’s been pretty good in that area. It’s the other areas that are mostly responsible for our shortcomings

I’m not saying it because it’s what I want but I’d bet Odom is back next year. He will get to 6 wins and stick around. The good news...I said the same thing about matheny.

Honestly, if he’s brought back at 6-6 he needs to be forced to hire a competent DC.

No more hiring your brother or promoting your buddy.

Agree Drydock, his undeserved overinflated ego will never allow BO to keep or obtain assistants that he refuses to see he so desperately needs. His total lack of any charisma and salesmanship skills will forever keep him from recruiting the type of talent capable of overcoming his deficiencies.. I could elaborate more fully but have tired of preaching to those who will not see or hear.

Question to the board.

Has anyone here heard a recruiting pitch by a coach in real life? They are all pretty much the same. I have not heard someone on the level of Saban, but I know some people who have been recruited by big programs and their staff.

The only thing they wanted to hear was “We will take care of you if you sign with us”

They want to hear how their son is going to get to the NFL.
