On a more serious note. Being a KC native, one has to admit, the Royals do indeed suck arse, and have for the last 25 yrs. It's really pathetic. I gave up on the Royals a long time ago. I grew up during their glory years from 1976-1985 and I'm not even sad anymore for the state of the franchise, it's just is what it is. I will always love the Royals for the great childhood memories but hell, I don't even follow 'em anymore. What's the use?

The Chiefs aren't much better. They have a more legit shot at winning since the NFL has their shite structured correctly, but don't have much faith in them either. They are just unable to put a complete team together of offense, defense and ST since the early 70s'.

Damn, my last hope to cheer for a "local" is our beloved Tigers. And although we are basically "snake bitten" U it will take alot more and alot longer to lose faith in them.

Look, the Cardinals are the Alabama of the National League. That being said, I don't hate the Royals, nor do I think all of their fans are beakers. Hell, I was damn proud when Self got boo'd at the all-star game, and the announcers were confused as to why. Only a Mizzou fan would understand.

When it comes to Mizzou and the Cardinals, I am Semper Fidelis. Hoo-Rah!

I don't hate KC Mizzou fans either. I was just tickling them on the rib cage and it got out of hand.

I have alligator skin. Some of y'all have rabbit skin.

That's awesome and you're right, only a Mizzou fan would understand. Most of the country is also ignorant about history and do not know that KCMO was established before the state of kansas. And as true kansas people, they leech off of that as they do many things that are Missouri.

As far as the Cards, I don't love them nor hate them. I don't root or cheer against them. They have a great baseball history and definitely one of the blue bloods in mlb. Something every Cards fan should be proud of....actually all Missourians should be proud of, but we have that rivalry between the two big cities that prevent that.

What unites us in sports though, is once again, Mizzou.

Most of us know this killz, and I actually got a good laugh at your jabs. You are our King Troll and consider it you just sharpening your troll teeth for more battle at da Rant.

And I don't say King Troll in an insulting way. You do alot of our dirty work on the main board and I for one, appreciate it, and find it hilarious. I remember when you first put up your sig and laughed every time I thought about it for like the next week. You got the skillz......killz.

Just havin fun with you, FightTiger. I know you're not a beaker...at least I hope not. You do wear Royal blue.

I'm a noob and don't quite understand, but since you tend to troll the hogs all the time you probably know, what is the deal with "flagship" and arky?

Refer to my sig pic and my sig line.

Arky calls themselves The Flagship because they are the flagship college institution in Arkansas, just like Mizzou is the flagship university in Missouri.

However, that isn't why they say it. They know it provokes other fanbases who don't understand that it's an Arky joke. People think Arky fans are calling themselves the flagship institution of the entire SEC, as if they are the premier SEC football program. The Arkytards embrace this. They hope people call them out on it so that they can call in the Arky trolls.

It's a joke meant to troll other canvases and it works well.

Regardless, they are a bunch of fricking retards. Y'all think I'm bad?

It is common knowledge that Royals fans are mostly (97 percent) beaker fans...so they are hated as much as we hate KU. I'm speaking for all Mizzou/Cardinals fans.

Stupid post. I dont know any Cardinals fans that hate, or really care about the Royals. (No offense to you Royals fans)

I have no idea what the point of this thread was Killz. I do not support the St. Louis cardinals and they really have nothing to do with mizzou. I have the feeling I'm going to see a lot of red in the stands for the Vandy game.

St Louis crushed the Nationals. Announcers bragged about how nice Hammons Field ballpark in Springfield, Mo is for a perfect Minor League experience. St. Louis called Hammons Field a mini-Busch Stadium. And that is 100 percent true. Great place.

Springfield won their championship this year, just one year after the Cards won the World Series.

If you've never been to a Springfield Cardinals game, it truly is a great experience for very little money. Springfield is a great city and we represent the St. Louis Cardinals (and Mizzou) well.

I love how the Cards run their organization. I also love it when they win the World Series so I can get those replica rings!!! Now I have one from last year and the one from 2006. The one from last year is better, looks and feel more realistic.

bayou2003,

I'm glad you like Missouri and the Cards! We need to meet up on Table Rock sometime relatively soon. My wife and I are in Branson at least once per month to stay at the family condo on Indian Point.

You're located around the Big Cedar Lodge section of the lake, right? Perhaps lunch at Big Cedar?

Nope I'm in the Joplin area. I have no idea when I'll be in the Branson area. Maybe before Christmas.

I'm tryin to pin down a theory on why Mizzou is brutal at tailgating.

KC people, for the 14 people that go to Royals games, what is the normal pre game situation? Do you guys tailgate much?

I guess a better example would be Chiefs games, is there a lot of tailgating before games or is it bars like in StL?

StL prefers the bars in all sports for pregame. And I think that transfers over to Columbia. A lot of people like hangin out down at Harpos and then rolling into the game.

You guys think this has anything to do with why we don't tailgate like pros?

Chiefs tailgating is truly a sight to see. One of my favorite tailgating situations in the country. Problem is a lot of the people who tailgate big time at Chiefs game do not attend Mizzou games, or if they do they leave right after the Mizzou game to make it back in time for the Chiefs game.

The reality is having a shite team for over 20 years has taken a major toll on the fanbase between the ages of 30-45 who would be in their prime to be supporting the team right now.

It's going to take some time to turn that around but let's just hope we don't revert to only winning 4 or 5 games a year or all will be lost again.

You should really go to a game sometime.
I've never seen an NFL fanbase like the Chiefs. Incredible tailgating and fan support, especially given how awful the team tends to be most years.
