auburn has been in freefall so unfortunately, any win over Auburn wont carry much weight

Still a quad one win. Would be HUGE for seeding and put us in a very good position for a double bye in the SECT

Might help with seeding, wont register on the radar much as far as rankings.

As long as we stay off the 8/9- I could care less how we are seeded.

next 2 games will be a big factor in that. 2-0 we should be in the clear, 1-1 likely in that. 0-2 we may have work to do

Getting blown out this late in the season by Auburn hurt’s the seeding worse than losing to A&M and MState.

We are probably going to be a 9 or 12 seed. I would prefer to be a 6, 7, 10, 11, or 13 seed. If we have 23 or more wins to end the season it’s hard to seed us lower than a 12.

5 seed if we win out and win the SEC tournament with 2 wins against Tenn, Alabama, or Auburn.

If we win out
6 seed 2 games in the SEC tournament, and 1 of the 2 wins is against Auburn.

6 seed if we win the SEC tournament.

7 seed if we win 2 games in the SEC tournament.

9-12 seed no wins or 1 win in the tournament.

If we go 4-1 or 3-2
7-9 seed if we win the SEC tournament

9 or 10 seed if we win 2 games in the tournament

11-13 no wins in the tournament

2-3
9-12 seed winning the SEC tournament

13-14 seed, play-in game, or miss the tournament

What people don’t realize, P5 schools don’t get bids past 11 seed . We’re closer to not getting in, than maybe a 6 seed at this point . Absolutely gotta beat msu now

Mizzou #12 seed in 02 and lost to OU in the Elite 8. They had a 26-12 record and were 9-7 in conference.

P5 has nothing to do with NCAA basketball. There are 10 non-P5 school’s in the top 25.

UConn is the only FBS football team in the Big East. Since the realignment in 2013 the Big East has had 3 National Champion’s and 6 final’s appearances. PAC 12, SEC, and Big 10 have not won a National Championship since then.

NCAA basketball has been changing a lot over the last 10 to 15 years. It is going to change even more for non-P5 football schools or schools that don’t field FBS football teams, because they can focus NIL money on basketball.

With conference’s expanding and NIL P5 football schools will get some more lower seeds in and non-P5 football schools will get some higher seeds.

12-14 are "designated" MM slots. Sure, there are years P5 teams find themselves past 11 but its not super common by any means. 8 times over the last 15 years for p5 schools.

P5 schools have been a 12 seed in each of the last 4 tournaments, and 5 total high major 12 seeds in those 4 tourneys if you count the Big East. It is in fact super common

8 P5 schools in 180 possible slots over that 15 years stretch is not that high of a number.

And just going off the 12 seed you posted, that's including the "play in" which I'm not saying doesn't count, that's 4 of 16 slots.

This isn't some secret, or maybe I just hear it talked about a lot since I follow mid major basketball closely, this is something brought up every march for mid major conferences.

We are going to frick around and end up squarely on the bubble if we don’t start playing good and winning games again.

Last week was a disaster, and we have four very winnable games left. Better win them

20 wins with 3 more that should be in the bag. The Tigers need to take care of business and close out the season with 3 more W's.
