Who was the HC at Miami when Baker was the DC? Manny Diaz. He is a very good defensive coach.

Baker worked with Manny Diaz in the past so Diaz hired him as DC at Miami, but Diaz did the game planning and called the defensive plays. That's why I say this is Bakers real first DC position.

Correct, I’m smart enough to know that someone who has ascended to the level of SEC HC has infinitely more knowledge about schemes and play calls than I do.

You’ll get there too if you use your head every so often.

I don't buy that. We have people in charge of govt alphabet agencies who don't know what they are doing. We have elected officials who don't know what they are doing. Eddie Lampert was put in charge of Sears and ran it into the ground.
I don't think Drink is an idiot; but I don't think people can't comment on his playcalling.
