Bunch of meaningless stats, but just thought I'd share since I wasted half my day surfing around. Does posting it here mean it was no longer a waste? No. Still a waste because all the numbers in the world are meaningless. Anyways, looking at the MU and OSU on offense.

MU: #15 scoring offense at 39 pts/game.
OSU: #14 scoring offense at 39.8 pts/game.

But let's look at who they did it against. Giving the scoring defense ranking of each opponent.

MU--14, 17, 38, 41, 45, 66, 75, 80, 82, 89, 90, 115
OSU-19, 21, 36, 41, 53, 56, 62, 90, 95, 99, 109

Running the ball:
MU: #17 rushing offense at 236.6 yds/game
OSU: #66 rushing offense at 172.0 yds/game

And the rush defense ranks they did it against:

MU--32, 33, 42, 43, 54, 66, 72, 83, 96, 101, 109, 117
OSU-21, 25, 26, 35, 39, 46, 81, 90, 91, 93, 114

Passing the ball:

MU: #40 passing offense at 256.5 yds/game
OSU: #32 passing offense at 268.5 yds/game

And the pass defense rank of who they did it against:

MU--9, 19, 21, 27, 46, 62, 67, 74, 80, 97, 102, 120
OSU-16, 23, 35, 47, 47, 56, 58, 71, 81, 84, 110

Just a couple of other notes. OSU has done a good job in the turnover game, losing the turnover battle only in their losses to WV and OU. Their secondary seems to thrive on getting INT's to help win that battle. They also changed QB's in game 6 and started featuring a new RB in game 7.

Looks like a couple pretty evenly matched teams. Should be a good game. Nice work on digging up and sharing those numbers.

My employer requires 32 hours of continuing education a year. You would not believe the stupid shite I have sat through many a day in late December.

It's paid so I should not complain - but it is getting harder and harder to find local seminars worth taking (if I take an out of state seminar I have to give a presentation to the rest of the staff about the conference and nobody wants to hear about me getting drunk and losing my per diem playing blackjack).

There are far worse things your per diem could go to. Or better. Depending on your perspective.

That's funny stuff. And I think you underestimate how entertaining those stories can be for your co-workers.
