Dude is completely bought in to the job and will put a bunch of effort into the program.
It's not great, it's not flashy, and Alden probably should have gone with him before if he was going to do it now, but it's fine.
I'll watch the same or slightly less basketball than I did with Haith, but this is the SEC and football is king. Hopefully he does well, there's a good chance he will.
Welp, that's it.

He has been out of D1 for 12 yrs. Probably a good reason why he was there for so long too? you would think a mid major would have come after him eventually? so confused right now.

Eh, I kind of feel the same way. I'm just disappointed Quin isn't coming home.

If you think about it schools with DII players also have D 1 players. I would think Anderson is well connected with the in state high school and area Juco coaches. His staff is the key.. the support of players like Crudup in KC and Thames in St. Louis can only help in state recruiting.

Maybe we cheaped out on the bball hiring so we could give our football staff a raise?

Either way.
Thread title is still valid on my end. I was touch an go for a the first ten minutes, but it is what it is now.
I'm going into radio silence for an hour cooling off period. Some other people probably should as well.

Hope is not a strategy.

You can jab me on that all you want. I posted who it was in the other thread and then deleted. I don't feel bad about it nor am I embarrassed.

Nah, no reason to 808. I appreciate the info. All you were doing was passing it along.
My melt is wearing off already and settling into I don't give a frick.

On the bright side, STL radio loves the Anderson hiring. Says Mizzou should have a winning program in about 4 years.
