That's because he's not a true son. The fewer non-Missourians we have on the team and staff, the better.

We're building a master basketball domination system. Completely from Missourians.

I truly do despise this True Son stuff. Even worse are the people who think you have to like the idea of True Sons, in order to be a True Son.

"He's not a True Son, watch him." "Oh, he's a True Son, he can be trusted."

frick all that noise.

It's worse than #BFIB in my opinion.

By the way, Tim Fuller doesn't sound very ummm, shall we say, committed to Mizzou in his quotes on PowerMizzou....like at all....like as in, he had already planned to take the FAMU job but hung around CoMo an extra week during the search as a favor to Alden sort of not committed...
Oh shite. Now I am in camp 2.

What?

I live and work in St Louis and I have never heard any Cardinal fan say "we are the BFIB" NEVER.

Its something the MLB players voted on and the media/TV broadcasters and front office uses to stroke their fan base but the average fan doesnt think twice about that.

The two are not similar and Im not sure why you brought it up honestly.

The True Son stuff is the same thing, no one goes around saying that, except on message boards and in the media.

They are very similar.

No, they are not. Not even close man.

The true son shite is a grass roots, common folk thing. The media doesnt run around talking about "Being a true son", its the average joe Mizzou fan that propogates that shite.

The BFIB thing was contrived media thing. From the MLBPA voting on it to the milking of its fan base by the Cards front office. You NEVER hear the average Cardinal fan talking about that.

No, like I said, they are not similar.

Remote,

Please understand that you're interacting with 2011 Kilo. Apparently, Kilo from 2011 successfully figured out how to time travel to 2014!

killz, If you have a problem with me just say it. Stop being such a fricking pussy.

Everyone here on this board has to walk on egg shells around you because, heaven forbid, they have their own opinions on things and if you dont like them we get this, sometimes months long, passive aggressive shite show.

I like you man but you are a narcissistic as they come when it comes to folks conforming to what you want and "how" you feel like things should be.

Why is so hard to understand?

I understand one thing perfectly. Every one was getting all jizzed up about getting Marshall or Howland and got their bubble popped with Anderson. Now every one wants to flush the program. So Alden can't hire a big time program coach. Hey, it's his neck, but I have learned one thing, Mizzou is going to do what Mizzou wants to do regardless of what fans say. So why bash a new coach before he has even coached his first game here?

quote:

If we have top 30 facilities and top 30 salary, why don't people want to coach at Mizzou?

I guess that would be the big question for Alden. Maybe the board wouldn't approve a lucrative contract to pull a "homerun" coach away from another school? Hell I don't know, I wasn't in the room when it all went down. No one will ever get a straight answer. Ever. Much like the SEC-CG last season and the defensive meltdown. Everyone wanted answers, and simple response from Mizzou was "your not getting one". It's how they operate.
