OK, we know we have weird issues at QB and RB to some extent. But what is going on with our NFL dbs? They have been non factors against 2 not so great teams. We were also told the 2 UTSA transfers would be great and they were "meh."
Is it coaching or too much media hype?

Playing too far back and out of position. They're getting turned the wrong way too easily. Coaching. I don't think whomever is calling the defense is getting good recognition on deeper pass plays.
Maybe because the offense they practice against is no damn good at deeper pass plays?

I called this at the end of last year. Baker is regressing to the mean now that the book is out on him.

But that doesn't explain the UTSA transfers. Remember, they both were going to be high NFL draft picks. And we got so so results.
