1. Robertson and Barnett. These two must be consistent scorers. They must shoot the ball well, and they must do these things each time out.
2. Tilmon staying on the floor. We can run our offense through the big man. He's got to be on the floor to do that though.
3. The development of Harris. He's clearly our most talented point. There will be some bumps in the road, but his ceiling is high.
Those 3 things turn out positively and we alcan still be a dangerous team and make the tournament. They don't and we are going to struggle

Add Jontay and Puryear to that.
If those 6 play to their potential Mizzou can still make th NCAA tournament.

That’s the big question for me though...playing up to their potential. The older guys should be able to do this, but freshman, we really don’t know they’re potential abilities. I’m with you guys on Tilmon. If he can stay out of foul trouble, and that’s a big “IF” then he has a lot of upside. Harris....I haven’t seen enough out of him to make a determination of his upside. Jontay....should play better by mid season. (Remember, he’s only 17 and should be a HS senior)
Robertson should get better when we put somebody else at the point. It ain’t like he hasn’t done it already.
The biggest question now becomes, how does this team respond to the MPJ situation? He’s out now, and I’m sure everyone was expecting him back at some point. Do they fold up the tent, or hit the ground running and make something out of the season.
These and many more questions will be answered as the season unfolds. I wouldn’t expect great things till conference season starts. I think the team is in an adjustment period till then. We’ll see ups and downs till then. We’ll also see if Cuonzo can coach now. We already know he can recruit.

I wonder if they knew last night and that's why they played so flat.
I don't worry as much about the team folding up the tent as I do the fans.

If we had better fans, he wouldn’t have been injured.

This season depends on the style of ball we play.
If we continue to play half court ball it maybe a long season. If we use more guard play and a faster tempo style it could help keep our big men out of foul trouble and allow them to get into the paint without the ball running through them.

No, but we'd probably have a better chance of finishing off the season strong.
Our shite fanbase is already flooding stubhub with seats for conference games.
Mizzou fans cry about not being able to have nice things like they actually deserve them...

And if they play more like the Wagner and Iowa State games and less like Emporia St and Utah, those fans will come back. This isn’t rocket science.

And our bandwagon fans will always be a top reason we never get over the hump.
That's not rocket science either

Lol. No.
You’re acting like we are different from other fan bases. We’re not.

100% agree. Harris needs to take control of that position. Mizzou needs to be able to push the pace and get good looks early in the shot clock.

Add to that by taking care of the ball. 17-18 turnovers per game is unacceptable. Pick up the pace, and move the ball down the court, but play smart too. We don’t need Harris making 3/4 court passes on the break.

We are massively different than the fanbases of the truly successful programs. You're delusional.
Think kU fans would be quitting on the season if Graham or Newman got hurt?
Hint, they wouldn't.

If kU was coming off three consecutive seasons like we were and had their number one player go down like ours did, they’d act almost exactly the same.
The difference is that kU wouldn’t have allowed three years in a row like our administration did.

Decent deflection attempt, but thank you for acknowledging that not all fanbases tuck tail and abandon at the first sign of adversity.

Congratulations on pretending this is the first sign of adversity. It’s not.

Revel in misery if you want.
Do you

I’m not reveling in misery. These aren’t binary options. If someone wants to get upset for a while about some shitty luck, it isn’t some negative reflection on our entire fan base. But you do you.
