For what it is worth, I was totally against opening up the Bama board, however, after a small transition period - when those who just wanted access for the sake of access posted some - it has pretty much died down now and is just Bama posters with a couple of friendlies who help keep the convo moving.

Outsiders will not last on this board unless they are truly interested in Mizzou and/or develop close relationships with Mizzou posters.

However, I understand the shell shock.

Mizzou fans, I started this. I fanned the flames. Initially, i was messing around, just testing Semo's gusto as admin, but my fake revolution turned into an total revolt. Dont blame Semo. Blame me.

FWIW, I've requested multiple times that my Mizzou Board access be revoked but my requests are denied every time. Perhaps I'm poison to this board and I realize it.

I'm a lone wolf and should probably be sent packing into the wastelands of the rant. That's where I belong.

I'm guessing the people making the waves are the maries that are afraid of getting a pet because maybe it will shite on the floor.

I've always figured if you get a bad one that just isn't enough generations away from the wild and it becomes a problem, you can always send it to the farm and know that you gave it a chance.

Mizzeaux, I agree with you. But one thing that has become clear to me in this whole ordeal is that we need more Mizzou posters here. With more active posters, there would be less risk of people feeling outnumbered on their own board.

I'm hopeful that the next few weeks will see our numbers increase. I think we've had maybe 4 new posters check in in the last week or so? We need to encourage them to be active. With a bigger Mizzou base, this issue becomes less important.

So - everyone tell your friends, neighbors, family members (if you like 'em), etc. It's fun, it's free, and it's a great waste of time! Plus, you may meet some cool e-people and learn something too.

And this is going to stop. If someone wants to be a jackass, they can do that on the rant, or on the OTB. It's not going to be tolerated any longer here. When the smack talk keeps posters away, it's gone too far.

semo, occasionally just feed his ban addiction.... we've tried interventions and multiple rehab stints, nothing works. He craves the ban hammer. Instead of losing him on the OT and Rant, just give him what he wants on here every now and then.

Think of it as the methadone route, maybe just being banned from a portion of the site instead of the whole thing will help ween him off the habit.

As for me, I'll watch my step, but ban me if you gotta ban me. There is confetti installed in all the regular posters houses, when the hammer drops, confetti will pour from all of your ceilings and you can rejoice my departure.
