Please delete my access to the Mizzou Board. I plan to post exclusively on the Rant, OTB, MSB, and at some point in time the Arkansas Board.

So we are NOT pumping the brakes a little on adding outsiders to the board?
Im shocked. Why is it so bad to say, "we have added a lot of new people to the board and we are not going to be adding anymore at this time until we so how things balance out during the season."
Its seems the criteria for admittance to the Mizzou board is "Well, they are nice people" and "they are really friendly in the IM threads."
Semo, you can't say we have not added a lot of new folks. Where's the harm in just pausing for a few months?

Honestly Semo, "we" vote in just about anyone who asks. I would bet a dollar that we have as many outsiders as active posters at this current time. Like I said before it's your prerogative to do what you please but if we have a lot of "outside" input during the season I will probably stay away for the most part. A couple fresh voices from various fan bases are "neat". Allowing everyone who asks in is very "meh".
I will probably just stick to PM if things change too much and just hit the SECr for the entertainment and a couple of the other TD forums. This place was unique in that it was really the only free Mizzou board for Mizzou exclusively. If we were adding outsider because they have insights into recruiting in certain areas or can give insights for their teams thats all great and welcomed in my eyes but what you are doing now is just turning this board into a mini SECr/OT and just adding folks 'cause they are "Cool with mizzou" and are "e-friendly".
Maybe I'm way off on what this board is supposed to be about. Dont know. I promise this will be the last thing I say about the whole subject but from when this topic was first brought up until now things were said about slowing down and limiting to one or two from each school and I don't think that has happened so it leaves me scratching my head.

I'm not sure where you come up with that. I have no control over who asks for access to our board. I vote on those who have requested access. And I vote by my personal philosophy, which is that as long as posters talk about Mizzou, and refrain from trolling on this board, I don't have a problem with most. However, I'm only one vote.
If it'll get people to stop chewing my arse about it, I won't vote on any future requests.

I'm not quite sure how to respond to all of this, Kilo. I realize you are frustrated, and I'm catching the brunt of it because I'm the admin. So I'm not taking it personally.
We had a backlog of several posters who had been voted on by members of this board but never given access. When I became admin less than a month ago, I requested Chicken grant access to those people. I did not make the decision to admit them in a vacuum, they had been voted on by a majority of our posters in help board threads.
After this, a flurry of requests came in - likely because people saw an increase in activity on our board. I've tried to respond to these in the best way I knew how, according to the wishes of a majority of the posters here. Unfortunately, it seems to be impossible to keep everyone happy.
TDis a source of entertainment for me, and I love the Mizzou board because there is a great group of people here, and great information. There is a vision for this board that involves unique, user-generated content, and turning these team boards into one-stop shops for team information AND SEC info/interaction. But we aren't ready for this yet, and I have no timetable.
I will completely remove myself from these decisions going forward. And, because the worst thing would be for us to lost posters over it, we'll place a moratorium for a while.
