There wasn’t.

I'm not judging Clawson. But his name won't excite the fanbase or boosters. So if he got off to a slow start many would see him as another mediocre hire. More of Odom.

Someone with a more exciting name would get a longer leash with the average fan and booster.

Sure there was. The types that hated the hire from the beginning were screaming from the hills.

You know the types. They like to say things like “accepting mediocrity” and “just throw some money”

1 down. Wooten, who we really needed, is the first to jump ship

1 recruit is meaningless.
They can all decommit.
Unless we’re just concerned about the short-term.

Obviously not meaningless, but also obvious that we are going to lose several.

I, for one, am worried about the short term. No doubt

You should go back and read your posts when recruits would decommit from us under Odom for inspiration.

Depends who they were. A coveted DE? Yeah, we definitely needed that

We've got to hope the new coach has good recruits that will follow him. Problem is does UAB, FAU, WAKE have recruits that would help us. Memphis would maybe.

This isn't about the 2020 recruiting class. None of the coaches that will take this job have a bunch of SEC caliber athletes that will follow them this year.

None of the coaches we are listing have recruiting chops to just load Mizzou with talent. Every class for us counts. This isn't the ACC or AAC. We need DE talent and DT talent asap.

Who cares, new coach will fill every lost commit.

And it's not exactly a stellar class.

We don't know what defense the new staff is going to install. Losing a wide 9 body is irrelevant if the staff is going 3-4. Whatever. This is what happens when coaches get fired. Buckle up.
