The city and county will never merge. Why would the county want to merge with a city that is ranked number 1 in murder rate in the US(cities over 100,000). It is ranked 13th in the world(cities over 300,000) that is not in a war zone.
The crime rate in St. Louis City is way to high. It would hurt the county in to many area’s.

Oh well. Then commence the bitching and less action.

Mahomes looked really good, but the defense will cause many games to be a shootout.
This could cause many mistakes by a young QB. We will see how good Mahomes is when he has to lead a team from behind or play a team with a good defense.
I hope he uses Kelce more. This can help the running game and keep the bad defense off the field.

He played in one game last year. The point still stands. It’s awfully early in someone’s career to be declaring anyone a star...after a grand total of 2 games.

He's not a star yet, but people are talking about him quite a bit. The kid has a lot of promise and has one of the best head coaches around to help him develop.

In other words, he’s just like every other #1 QB draft pick.

I'm not pumping the kid up to be anything than what he is right now, a QB with a rocket arm and a lot of promise. The Chiefs have been scared to draft a first round QB since the Blackledge disaster in the 80's so naturally Chief fans are pumped over this. If you want to get salty over that, go ahead.

There’s nothing to be salty about. It’s just odd to start a thread about a QB that’s only played in 2 games as the next franchise great.

For any part I played in derailing your thread, apologies.
As a former Chiefs fan, I will say that I enjoyed playing Christian Okoye in Tecmo Bowl. I'm sure everyone knows who you played on the Chiefs defense.

It's not odd for a Chiefs fan to start a thread on the Mizzou board because he happens to be excited about the teams first round QB. What is odd though is highjacking a perfectly harmless thread and talk about something that has nothing to do with the subject at hand. You guys started your own Cards thread and if KC fans went in there to highjack it I would feel the same. There's enough room here for both our cities fanbases with Mizzou bringing us together.

Thank you. I appreciate it.
We're Missouri. Not St. Louis, Kansas City, Columbia, etc. MISSOURI. It's time to start acting like it.

Being excited about your QB is one thing. But touting him as the next franchise great after a whole 2 games is pretty strange to me. But I guess that’s the overreactive society we live in today.
When Chiefs fans make lazy and ignorant claims like “St. Louis is just a baseball city” then of course someone is going to step in and set the record straight. Did the STL not have a new stadium plan in place to keep the Rams before SD and Oakland? Did the TWA Dome not get built long before Bidwill finally got a new stadium in Glendale? Was the team not complete garbage to drive fans away the last dozen years until last year? Was Stank not a lying scumbag POS?
And why do fans have to pick one team over the other in the same market? Are the Blues not in the top 7-8 in attendance every year? Have the Stars and Mavericks never thrived despite Dallas being “a Cowboys city”? Have the Penguins never had success despite always being in the Steelers shadow? Did Chicago only care about the Scrubs and Bears when the Blackhawks were winning Stanley Cups? Why can’t cities support multiple teams at the same time? Going by that stupid logic the Royals should have left KC 5 years ago because “KC only cared about the Chiefs”. And I’m pretty sure the KC fans here would be just as pissed if they left. So don’t try to pretend otherwise.

You're making a big deal over a harmless thread, which your own side highjacked dude, good grief. And some of those "lazy and ignorant claims" came from some who didn't claim one way or another if they were Chiefs fans, and some from your side of the tracks. Personally I could care less whether St Louie is a football city or not, but I do know KC is. If you think it's strange, odd, or whatever else you want to label it, so what, again it's a harmless thread coming from a fan. This thread has gotten stupid and it certainly isn't the ops fault.

Right on. I’m reserving front row tickets for you, McMillan, and myself for Mahomes’ HOF induction in 2034. Go Chiefs!

Chiefs are on the verge of beating the Steelers in Pittsburgh for the first time since 1986.
Mahomes has 7 TD’s in 5 quarters.

Watching the game, he's lighting up the Steelers D so far.

and the refs gifted the Steelers a TD.

It's like the Mizzou game again.
