That's fine, we have caught teams while down though haven't we. This is an awesome spot we are in, I'm not sure if it's a reality of where we can finish though

To me it's not just that we're winning, which is awesome, but it's how we're winning. We are crushing other teams and it is freakin awesome.

Hopefully pinkel can turn some recruits heads last minute for this incoming class next season

There is no question that with as bad as things fell last year, the pieces have all fallen in place just right so far this year. I have no idea where we ultimately finish. And don't let the talk about injuries take away too much from the wins. Both UGA and UF were still throwing 4 and 5* kids out there against Mizzou. Mizzou has dealt with it's dings as well. Franklin is obvious. Gaines is obvious. But I think Murphy only got one carry today and got banged up. Copeland has missed games and played hurt today. Vincent played hurt. UGA wasn't missing much on the defensive side and we moved the ball well against them. UF's D was still supposed to be all world and a backup RSF QB still moved the ball well on them.

Yes, the teams have been down to some degree, and things have fallen just right, but the team still had to go out there and do it week in and week out. Not just one week.

Hope so too. I just hope we didn't fill up too many spots too fast.

I have a feeling our recruiting is about to freaking take the frick off. Florida will be looking for a coach after this year. If we make it to Atlanta, holy smokes man.

I wonder if it's too late to tell Finus Stribling IIV that we need to open up some spots.. I kid, but not really kidding.

This is a special season, this happens when teams really love the guy sitting next to them in the locker room. We are good, but there is a little something extra going on with this team.

Couldn't have said it better myself. This team is on a mission.

The politician in me won't allow me to out any one kid by name, but I agree with the sentiment.

As to the quoted, you're absolutely right. After the Vandy game, I talked about how this team reminds me of a college version of the greatest show on turf. One of the most important things I left out in that comparison is the pride one player would take in another player's success. These guys remind me of that so much. Whether it's 2 of the RB's celebrating the success of the 3rd. Whether it's a half dozen WR's celebrating the success of another WR.

Oh, and for as much as I was tough on the guy last year, got to give some kudos to Franklin. He is even carrying himself differently while having to sit out. Compare last years superman chain wearing on the sidelines to what I heard today(didn't get to see this but will watch for it). When the offense came off the field, Franklin was described as getting on a knee in the middle of an offensive huddle on the sidelines and still being a leader.

Holy shite I'm loving this. This is an awesome time I'm hoping to enjoy. The less I'm here, the better. I just wear Mizzou shite around town and get into conversations with folks.

Much better than hanging out here and being told we suck and this is all bullshite.

Enjoy the week, hopefully it's extended.

This. That's the surreal part for me. Before the season, I had us pegged to be 6-1 right now-but I figured we'd have eeked out wins at Indiana, Vanderbuilt, and against FLA to get there, and was hoping that somehow we'd make a decent showing in Athens, which I had as a loss.

But the final scores of the games, as one sided as they are, don't really reflect our dominance this year. Add in the fact that we keep letting teams back into the game, and then running away from them at the end-after giving them the momentum in the game-that, to me, is one of the most impressive things about this team. The really exciting thing is a lot of young kids on this team are experiencing all this.

I mean, think about it. Even the injuries are turning out to have bright silver linings. We are getting to see what Mauk can do, and he's getting valuable experience now going into next year. That will be remembered by the prognosticators going into next season-we'll be one of the teams in the championship discussion going into next season, if we close like we've started so far. Less commented on is the play of Penton and Gibson in this game-two freshman that are going to be key next year after we lose two starting senior CBs. Those kids showed well yesterday.

Last year seems like a distant memory.

This time it feels different. They seem to be able to overcome almost anything. I also like to hear them talking about wanting more than a bowl game.

I was in disbelief with how good we looked yesterday. I don't know what to feel
