I heard a rumor that they should be better next year.

I hope they aren't. Only because I've also heard a rumor that Brad Stevens would come back to the NCAA for the right program.

Unfortunately, we've probably fricked things up so bad that we are no longer "the right program" for anyone but D-II coaches.

This is the biggest problem that people rarely bring up. This KA hire is digging our program in such a hole that most coaches who would have gave us a chance if we hired them instead of KA now will not even consider us.

So Fulfird is leaving or staying?

Don't get it.

Everyone better hope KA turns this around because this could bury us for a decade or better if he doesn't.

Fulford is staying. There was a brief rumor involving him and Loos to SEMO (where Dickie Nutt still currently coaches, so not sure what started that rumor). But from the horse's mouth, he is staying.

Whether Isabell or anyone transfers IDK and wish them luck wherever they go.

I simply can't wait until we're good again, under KA, and a lot of the posters here saying "I knew it."

Loos is definitely Anderson's guy. Fulford wouldn't downgrade himself to a SEMO job, especially after what he built at Huntington Prep.

Both are probably waiting until a D1 Head coaching opportunity pops up.

I agree on the SEMO thing. Not sure Fulford wouldn't jump for another Asst position. But he doesn't really have a resume to jump with.

He would jump to an asst job, but not at a SEMO. He'd be foolish if say Donovan came calling not to take it.

I was real confident that Tru would be transferring, but when he tweeted only last month "mizzoumade" that kinda gave me mixed feelings.

Fuller is re-tweeting a ton of stuff about Masiello and Manhattan going back to the tourney. Can I start a new rumor?

Masiello to Indiana, Fuller joins him and they land Bryant.

Yeah lets hire a guy who lied about his degree to lead young men. What is burying this program is the move to the SEC, not a coach who was left with nothing.

So the SEC is responsible for us turning in nearly the worst season in program history?

Do tell...

I didn't say that. Many were concerned when we moved that BBall would go on the back burner when we moved and it has. We have traditionally been a basketball school though and now we are not. What changed? It's a rebuild year, they played a tough schedule, had injuries and suspensions, 2 players were given dismissals before the season started. I just think some of you are more football folk and are not wrapping your head around the fact that in basketball we are young and not going to bring in big time recruits immediately. It literally happens ALL the time in college basketball where a very young team is shite and by the third year they click. Look at Virginia w/ Tony Bennett. Majerus w/ SLU. The Georgia coach right now. Frank Martin has had success, Bruce Pearl has had success. Are they all shitty coaches? Same ol same old though. I just think some don't give KA a fair shake. Teams improve from year to year. 95% of the country doesn't rely on Freshman to come in and log 80 % of your minutes. They are role players, unless truly special.

First, I was being sarcastic.

Second, you do raise an interesting question.

Would you rather:

Have a coach that lied on his resume lead our young men if it meant 25 wins a season with deep runs into the tourney?

Or a coach that teaches your young men proper posture but averages 10 wins a season?

Why aren't we going to bring in big-time recruits immediately? How long will it take to bring in big-time recruits?

Everyone knew this would be a rebuilding year. The problem is: we didn't rebuild. We have zero identity. We don't rebound. We don't play defense. We don't shoot well. We don't use motion for easy shots. We don't even play AAU ball of all 1-on-1.

We currently have zero immediate impact recruits coming in. We will likely be losing at least one guard to transfer, a position at which we are already thin.

Our recruiter is out the door.

If you want to try to formulate all of this into some sort of winning formula, you are welcome to do it. Not many people are going to buy in at this point.
