What he did is certainly no hanging offense. He sure didn't help the program or the team, however (unless you're Witter who will get more carries on Saturday).
Who is really punished if he sits the last game in a losing season? And "he's just a kid" doesn't cut it for me. He's a college man who should have the mental ability (plus team loyalty,and scholarship responsibility) to understand the non-confusing rule to not use illegal drugs.

Oh, the one game is probably appropriate. But better would be sitting him on a high stool on the sidelines during the game with a dunce cap...and the first time Witter is stuffed going up the middle on a 3rd and 9, Crockett is given a very public wedgie.

Since he has not yet been to court,suspend him for the half and if guilty or plead out suspend him for the first game next season. Not a big deal to me. If he hit a woman, we would throw the book at him. Confusing time for young people when 29 states have some form of legalized marijuana.
