Depends on how Pinkel handles it. If errbody, including the staff, takes the position that the bitch be crazy we'll be FSU.

I'm thinking he might be gone.

I don't think he's gone. Yet. But he's on the shortest of leashes.

If that report is true verbatum I'd just as soon he be gone.

It would be nice if he could get his shite together, but I now have my doubts about that.

Even if he goes he's going to land somewhere. Auburn?

That report reads like he has some real issues.
The text messages really are damning, if not in a court of law, at least in the court of public opinion.

DGB looks like he's just another over entitled, prima donna POS, that thinks he can do whatever he wants, because someone will come behind him and fix it for him.

Whether its his "parents", his GF, the team, etc. He has no one to answer to for anything he does. This will not end well for DGB. This type of behavior will continue unless this kid is shown some discipline, it might be tomorrow, or it might be in the NFL in 5 years, but the writing is on the wall. It's not going to stop magically.

I don't think GP will get rid of him. My personal opinion after reading all that crap is DGB should go. He's a piece of shite frankly. And everyone covering it up for him after the fact is equally disgusting. I wouldn't be one bit upset if the DA decided to pursue charges anyways. I think they've got enough there and I also think that by the time it got to trial, one or more of those covering it up would break and tell the truth. They have the original statements. They have the text messages. They have a positive ID. Charge his dumb arse and be done with him. Condoning this shite when it's so obvious sets a bad example and creates that damn atmosphere that needs to be changed. Rant over.

Had DGB been an unheralded walk on, he would have already been quietly dismissed, of course had that been the case, these infractions would have barely gotten a single line in one of the local papers by a beat writer. Not a soul outside the state of Mo would have even noticed.

BS. Any football player involved in a police matter will make the newspapers and the Rant at a bare minimum.

Even though no charges are filed still puts a blackeye on the program.

My least favorite part:

The coaches talked to me and explained to (me) how serious this is and there’s no time to waste at this point.

This is the dark side of athletics, enablers enable because its in their best interest to do so.

Whether its because the person is instrumental to a teams success, or if they put money in someones pocket.

Enabling only helps the recipients of the players bounty of skills. It never helps the player.

However, at some point the enabled must look in the mirror and realize that having zero responsibility for their actions is only hurting them and grow up a bit and start being responsible.

But whatever, some people are fricking dumb, and it's asking too much for anyone that dumb to realize whats going on. Just go play football, you'll be rich and can piss it all away on depreciating assets like cars, rims, boats, strippers, shoes, and clothes.

In the meantime you can bet that those enablers will be pleased that their "investment" came to maturity, and can collect on their "investment".

Lets be honest, its not about someone "getting a chance" to make a better life for themselves. It's about that someone making lots of money for everyone involved, and in the process making that person feel like he has it all, when in reality he doesn't.

Sorry, not sure where that rant came from, I'll turn it off now.

Every big school pampers their star athletes, and creates a culture where they feel untouchable. Every. Big. School. We are not unique. I don't like it, but this is big time athletics. There is too much money at stake, and so they isolate the athletes, make them feel like rock stars, and the athletes start believing their own hype. They think they are Gods, and act like there is no consequence for their actions - because there isn't. The little bubble they live in ensures this.

I do believe Mizzou does better than a lot of schools at creating a good, family-oriented environment. But these are still testosterone-fueled young men with God complexes. The best thing for Dorial would be to miss several games - at least one or two big conference games. That might make him learn that bad choices have consequences. Unfortunately, that probably isn't the best thing for the team, or for coaches whose livelihoods depend on W-L records. Again...too much money is at stake.

So, my guess is that DGB serves a suspension, misses a game or two, and then plays. Unless he gets in trouble again, then he's likely gone.

I never insinuated Mizzou was.

This happens at every level.

Nah. He's not important enough to me to bet on. The only sig bet I've ever participated in is this Cards-Royals thing.
