Yeah. I don’t hold any ill will towards him at all. The back injury may have more potential
for future problems than they’re letting on.
There’s no reason for him to not be set for life in a couple of months.

He’s only been cleared to play for 9 or 10 days.
I’m sure there’s all sorts of issues with not only game shape conditioning, but also muscle memory atrophy.
I don’t have any problems with him sitting out, as long as he’s working hard to try and get back, which is what it looks like he’s doing.
Maybe he comes back at some point, but I’ll just enjoy the team as it stands for now.

Guys on the radio earlier this week were trying to prepare people for him not playing today and intimated that this was the case. I don't know if the word on the street is running with this or if the radio guys are running with the word on the street.

I don’t know why he’s even practicing then if she has that much influence on him. Ultimately, it should be his decision. Not someone else’s.

Yes they are making it up. It’s been covered by all the Mizzou and national journalist that the mom isn’t making the decision to hold MPJ out.

I don't think they have a choice now with Van Leer out. I expect to see him Thursday.

MPJ wants to play. if he’s still having back discomfort after practice, then it’s reasonable to wait another week to see how he progresses.

They aren’t going to admit he’s still experiencing back pain, I would guess. They’re painted into a corner a bit. But they just need to get through two more weeks.

Might be. Might not be. Was kind of a strange place to go out of the blue unless they were catching wind of it from somewhere. That still doesn't make it true but kind of strange for them to come up with that.
