To be K-State's DC and LB coach.

If Walters gets a job offer elsewhere and takes it, he would be a great guy to get back next year.

Nothing in the realm of coaching is an absolute. If Colorado comes calling for him to be the DC, he will probably leave. If he gets a HC offer at a smaller school and feels like he has a network established to support that path he will most certainly leave.

Why would he leave for Colorado?

Why wouldn't he? It is his Alma Mater. Winning there would mean everything to him.

Colorado is hiring a a new staff right now and hasn’t approached Walters.

For Walters to leave the defense is going to have to be really good the next couple of seasons.

Because the defense got a lot better under Walters in his first full season as DC.

It went from really bad to average.

Walters sucks. You’re the only guy who hasn’t figured that out.

BO says he’s good. So does a lot of the coaching community.

BO sucked according to this board not too long ago as well.

I’m indifferent towards Walters. If BO wants to keep him then I’m fine with it.

Here’s the list of coaches that Walters has been hired by Bob Stoops, Mike Stoops, Fuente, Pinkel, Odom and Dan McCarney.

You and some of the others do not get it! Who will do a better job next year? or the year after? Recruiting will take a hit too. I am not sure you are really a Missouri fan.

Maybe it is loyalty that counts? Down the road maybe Odom get him back or he might go back to the NFL after 1 or two years? That will be foolishly to get rid of Walter for him if Barry does not think he will stick around for a long time. I think the point is Barry wants to keep his staffs together as long as they can so that they can build the program to like what Pinkel did. Not always good idea to keep replacing guys every 1-3 years.

He will get exposed soon enough. Hall saved his arse and the season. W/o him they had no deep threat and looked terrible.

w/Hall they were a different team, lock and hall both gone soon. BO will get exposed, it's inevitable.

But hey, TJ Moe, keep ball sucking a mediocre coach.

Knox and Scott have both shown more play making ability as true FR than Hall did until 4 games into his Jr season. Your assumption that there will be no development on the edge is grossly short sighted, as is your apparent valuation of the power run game.

I'm starting to think BO is going to make it.

That said we were a different team without Lock and Hall. Development takes time. 10Rcis going to take a big jump next season, Fl is better, SC doesn't drop back, and KY maybe drops a little. There are no in conference auto wins xcept for Arky. We can win any conference game (cept Jawja), AND we can lose any conference game (cept maybe ARky). The pumpers have us going into the GA game undefeated and competing for the east. Not bloody likely.
