Hey new posters. I hope you stick around a while.
Lurk around the rant and get the feeling of how things run with all the trolling and frickery for a while and never take anything personally.
Welcome.

Born/grew up in STL. Parents moved to SE MO after my HS graduation. Spent my post HS years going to Mizzou and living in Van Buren, MO.
Worked for UMPD for 3 years after graduation. My claim to fame was to hang out of a MO Hwy Patrol helicopter taking pics of the MU-Texas game in 1979 and again during the MU-Penn State game in 1980. Pics were used for years in Tiger recruiting posters and program guides.
Moved to KC many years ago and now live amongst beakers. My mere presence is an annoyance to many of them and I consider it to be God's work.
Tigerboard poster and greatly enjoy the camaraderie of our newly minted friendship in the SEC. Contrasts greatly to the BEVO 12 where everyone was constantly back-stabbing. About the only Big 12 fans I can stand are ISU because they are loyal to their team in spite of its unfortunate lot in life--mainly being in Iowa.

Evangelism is an admirable pursuit. Continue preaching the gospel, Tigerrr!!!
And welcome to the Rant!! Glad to have you here! This is a great place, and there are some fantastic posters from different fan bases that love to talk sports, analyze things to death, and have fun. Then, there are trolls. Sadly, we don't have bullets like Tigerboard, but you can feel free to mix it up as long as you don't use porn, threaten violence, or insult an admin. Anything else is pretty much fair game on the Rant. On the Mizzou board, we try to keep it a bit more civil.

Enjoy, post often, and welcome!

Huge Mizzou and Cardinals fan. Excited for the season and hope we can rebound from last year. Work out of New Orleans. (the other tiger country) Go Mizzou and Redbirds!

Good luck here. You're starting out "strong" on the Rant.

Do I get acsess in the board yet or is this how I get it?
I have been on the board for around two years and until now I've been to lazy to make an account. Probably younger than all you (yall <~) don't want to be called a yankee, but either way I am glad to join.

You're on it and welcome!!! You won't avoid the yankee name. We'll be stuck with that as long as we're in the SEC.

daboman here. I went to A&M from 1990 to 1995. After working one year in Ohio, I moved back to Aggieland in the summer of 1996 and lived there until about five weeks ago.
I first visited CoMo in March 1999 when the Ags played baseball here. I made return baseball roadies in 2003 and 2005 and loved the place.
I ran into a brick wall career-wise at A&M this spring. After 17 years I found myself with a boss I didn't respect and making too much money to easily find another on-campus job. I've got a five year old boy, and he deserved better than his old man coming home from work pissed every night. I'd set aside some money, so I quit my job at the end of March and decided to leave Texas.
After looking around NC and VA, I visited CoMo in May for the first time since 2005. It isn't perfect, but I love the hills, caves, and lakes in the area and am hoping to get back into photography (once I have a job!). I've been living here about a month, and really enjoying it. Bitch about the heat all you want, but try living in a place where it breaks 100F 70 times in one summer.
I will make Mizzou my #2 team this season and try not to ask or say anything stupid.

I certainly don't want to take anything away from Tigerboard, but would love to see more TB folks post here too! It's different, but a lot of fun!
And welcome new Aggie poster - did you request access to our board?

Yes, there's a thread that Chicken has on the Help board where I requested access.
I will behave. I'll even post pics from Sunday's Cardinals game if I bring my camera.

Yeah, I only have a few from MU-Texas since the PD hung onto all the slides. It was nice several years ago when I was having Phil Bradley autograph a postcard made of one of the pics (I'd bought a bunch at the University Book Store and filed them away) and Phil looked at the pic and said "That's the Texas game." I asked how he could tell that from a small post card. "It's the same picture I have on my office wall." I'd see my pics for years after I took them on different printed media. I got the inside back cover on the Hall of Fame Bowl media guide and I just found a bookstore catalog last month where I had the front cover photo.
