Having been to a couple of games at Bryant-Denny this season, I don't think there is a bad seat in there. I was ashamed of the Greeks though, leaving all those seats vacant. Looks terrible. The Machine, or whoever is in charge down there, needs to understand how bad that looks to fans, alumni, and viewers on TV, to have all those seats empty because they're reserved for Greek students who swipe in and leave.
Posted on 11/19/13 at 1:20 am to semotruman
Yea I agree it does look bad but at the end of the day those are our seats that we pay for. If we don't want to be at the second half of a 42-0 game than so be it. I get the complaints from our fans about it but oh well.
usaully never happens even against shite teams. If people are going to leave, the majority leave at half time.
They do. We got yelled at

What is Phil Pressey's celling in the nba?
About 6'1" but I understand he's renting an apartment when high ceilings so that should help.

In college, he had no concept of game management. That is by far his biggest weakness. Maybe Stevens can coach that part up for Phil.
Great ball handler, nice shot off the kick out (not great shooting off the dribble), but he sees passes 90% of the NBA won't see coming.
The problem is that he is so short and the NBA is so tall that i'd guess teams will just refuse to cover him on the perimeter and not even guard him when he drives to take away all passing options. he won't be able to finish over NBA forwards.
He does have elite hops, though. The kid can throw down with authority.

I would't go that far. I like Clark and he has a lot of upside but he isn't better than Pressey was.
Compared to the last year at Mizzou for Phil, Clark is a better PG. Clark's defense is better and his feel for tempo and game management is light years beyond Phil. Clark isn't the passer that Phil is but he already looks to be a more consistent shooter with much better shot selection than Phil.

Phil is crafty at dispersing the ball for assists in the lane. He's good at penetrating the lane also. This kid can flat out sprint the court with the ball. He is great in the transition aspect of the game. His weakness is getting trapped and pressure seems to unravel him at times. Teams were good at half court traps on him last year causing him to commit errant passes. He also had a bad habit of trying to throw up too many three balls from crazy distances and usually around the time his team goes on a 10-0 run on a team.

Pressey sucked, cost us at least five games last year. He could never win us a national championship so he had to go. Hopefully this team reaches the Final Four this year.

So does every player that couldn't win a national championship for Mizzou suck? I was as frustrated with Pressey as any. Heck, I even called for him to come out of games in the last 2 minutes. I thought he'd do a great job of keeping us in games/getting leads for us but he oftentimes tried to do too much with the game on the line.

No. I was a huge Bowers fan but Pressey hurt us more then he helped us.

With the loss of Dixon Haith had no choice but to rely on Pressey who often had the Tigers in position to win but would decide to go solo and take bad shots and decisions. He is an outstanding ball handler with speed and quickness and court awareness. Under sizes at 5'9". He has already made the Celtics roster which I did not think he would make an NBA team this soon if ever. It is a small NBA sample size but early on his shooting stats are very poor. I'm looking forward to watching Phil play and hope that tonight's game will be on the tube.

Bowers was good and Oriakhi became a STUD last year.
Pressey wasn't good last year. No matter what the stats show, losing games for your team is unacceptable from the PG spot. That is your floor general. If only we had Dixon so Haith could bench Pressey at the end of games like he did in 2011-2012 season.

Well he's been playing pretty well for us. Like others have said in here, maybe his game is better suited to the NBA

I can't say he hurt us more than helped us. I'd say the times he hurt us was at a time during those games where the game was on the line. Basically he picked bad times to turn the ball over or start shooting giant rainbow three pointers fron almost half court. He fancied himself a three point shooter but lacked the consistancy. He also, which isn't always a bad thing, wanted to be "the guy" or "the difference maker" at inopportune times. That to me was Pressey. He was fun to watch when he was on or agonising to watch when he tried to do too much at the wrong times.

I haven't been following him since he left. So he's doing alright then? Thats great. He seemed like a great kid. An yes, when he was right, he seemed at times to play a level above everyone else. But yet there was that inconsistancy or trying to do to much thing that would creep in at bad times. Maybe the coaching staff has helped him through those downsides.

Boston got hammered tonight and Pressey saw 21 minutes of action. 5 points, 5 assists, 1 turnover. 0-3 including 0-2 from 3 point land. 5-7 from the charity stripe. On the positive side in 9 games Flip has been a plus player, on the negative, 26.3% from the field and 20% for 3 pointers. It is a positive that he only took 3 shots tonight.

.. I didn't even realize Pressey left for the NBA.. I still think he should've stayed but maybe Mizzou is better off.

Nah. Phil is better off in the NBA and we're better off with Clark and Clarkson.
