Xavier? I can see the good Mizzou winning two games if they show up. Who knows anything about Xavier?

Depends on which MIZZOU team shows up
Lost Barnett gained MPJ... Who knows.
Not a bad bracket at all.. So anything is possible
Just happier then hell we are back where we belong.
That being the Big Dance

I recall Xavier upset us in the dance back in the late 80's. Would be nice to return the favor.

1987. It was my introduction to March Sadness.

Yep seems about right, 1987. That was a damn good team too. They went into the dance too cocky, and left it humbled.

Thankfully I don’t remember that year. Or the team that lost to a low seeded Northern Iowa team.

That game sucked. Lights went out in the arena for what seemed like an eternity? That was that game right? Peeler didn’t score until 30 seconds left in the game. Doug Smith fouled out. And UNI had more than their share of breaks.

I enjoyed watching the Kareem Rush teams. Clarence Gilbert would either hit you up for 25 pts or about 6. He was super undisciplined, but I don’t think you could question his effort.

I think you are off by a year. I think this was the first Tigers game I watched as a kiddo in grade school. Our teacher let us watch the game during recess. Wasn’t Smith in NBA at this time? 2 power outages in one game is impressive.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — There is a perfectly good reason why the West Virginia team flinches at the sound of thunder. You'd flinch, too, if Mother Nature kept costing you games, especially ones in the NCAA tournament. This time the Mountaineers lost to Missouri, 89-78, in the first round of Thursday's East Regional at the Greensboro Coliseum. The defeat itself wasn't altogether surprising--Missouri was seeded fifth, West Virginia 12th--but the factors contributing to the defeat were on the odd side.
