I got to thinking, if MSU were too add on a little more in seating (its been talked about) and with a new HC with bigger ties, and all this talk about jumping to MACtion, is that good or bad for mizzou?
One could argue that its better for the state, but does that take away from mizzou? I don't mean just recruits but attendance as well. Or does it help in attendance because the state as a whole elevates to another level in excitement.
I don't know, im just really hungover.

Have you been to an MSU game? Far from any sellouts at current capacity.
First they have to solve the problem of the tailgaters actually deciding to go inside the stadium. More people choose to continue eating and drinking outside.

I don't think it will ever be a threat. It's just 2 different worlds. That is unless the football program decides to go the path of the basketball program, then everyone is a threat, including Lindenwood.

With the amount of pro sports in Missouri, I think we can only handle one major university.
Missouri State should stay in the meaningless realm they currently dwell.

Meh. It will force Alden and the powers that be to not become complacent.

Everyone's always capable of doing more.

See the state of Arkansas. Arkansas State is not even remotely a threat to Arkansas. Especially when it comes to recruiting. In my time following Hogs recruiting, we've never gotten beat out on a player by them and we can pretty much flip anyone from them that we want. As an added bonus, it's worlds of fun listening to them constantly complain about the "team out west" and how they think the two schools are on the same level.

I don't know where the OP got his info about MSU considering a jump to the MAC. I've never heard that one before. If it did no threat

it's a great theory anyway, (and looks good on paper)

The logical conclusion would be that when the Bev10 picks up Bowling Green and Central Fl, (in a lame attempt to be relevant in the Big 10 and SEC footprints.. ) there will be openings to fill in the American AC and MAC.
Who knows, maybe Stec can help parlay a successful season (assuming anyone outside of Springfield knows what Mo Sts record is) into a conference upgrade.
