Yep.
But most of these mofos are pissed at him over Painter.
He got played, just like everyone else.
The P-D has had some serious Mizzou issues in the past, but they've turned the corner. Everything he said was spot on.
If you want to bitch about the post and it's Mizzou coverage, look no further than Vahe Gregorian, and that pos moved to KC to better his agenda.
The post is getting better, and Bernie is on with this one.
Sorry fellas.

I don't think anyone disagreed with the article.
I think everyone was expressing their dislike for Bernie in general.

That's fine, but to say he "hates" Mizzou is a long stretch.
Some of youse guys are just snakebit when it comes to anything negative about Mizzou.
It's not TB conspiracy theory level in here yet, but a thread like this, when he states the obvious about Mizzou BB, is bordering on it.

I think bass was joking with the title.
He said as much in the thread, he was trolling.
I think most everyone agreed with the article and also agreed they aren't fans of Bernie.

Bernie is a shill. Everything he says is for sale.
While Bernie has pimped himself in the past, you forget that before his radio show he was a quality scribe.
His days on radio forgotten, he remains a quality scribe.
The post used to be a quality paper. Like everything else, it has turned to shite, however, I think Bernie remains the shining light on an otherwise tarnished and ill repute piece of trash.
I'm speaking on the sports coverage only.
Let's talk about the STL media, since that's really where we're going with this thread.
Based on his rediculous post articles, twitter posts, and general arrogance against all thing STL, each and everyone of you should take a giant shite on Joe Strauss.
I only wish one thing upon him, to be cast away unto a shite whirlwind like San Diego, so then no one will ever hear from him again.
Yet, I see his retarded, lackluster reporting everywhere. It's like you all enjoy getting fricked in the arse by someone who calls you ugly.
He hates STL. But I bet Sleeping likes him...

Bernie is talented, he's not bad at what he does, he's quite good a lot of the time.
His ability isn't my issue with him.
I've hated Strauss, and I've not minded him. I've never all out liked him, though.

I'm not pissed at him over Painter-in fact, I ain't pissed at him at all. I think he flip flops around, and like I said, I got banned on the PD board for some mild criticism of the Painter reporting he did. He was the one who made that happen-and I had to write him personally to ask to be reinstated, despite the fact that he's not a mod on the MT board there.

I'm assuming you mean in reference to Mizzou. The post and STL media does a fairly good job when it comes to covering the local pro teams. Their Mizzou coverage has gotten better. Hiring Matter helped that cause tremendously. Straus and Micklasz frankly should just stick with the pro sports. Instead of trying to cover every team state wide, find the few teams you enjoy and become experts on them. What I find is that when they step outside of that and try to cover Mizzou, they come off as less educated and less informed than threads here. Leave the college teams (Mizzou) to the guys (Matter) who have an in depth knowledge of those teams.

Micklasz latest article about "who will fix" Mizzou BB was pretty accurate.

Good lord, some hardcore hate in this thread.
As a writer, I like Bernie but hate his over-reliance on stats. On the radio, he was a typical sportswriter - prattling on without the ability to edit as he would in print.
As a writer, I like Strauss. He's witty, biting, insightful, concise and and writes in a style I haven't seen in St. Louis in a long time, if ever. I don't take his crumudgeon / contrarian style seriously. It's his stock in trade. Big whoop.
On the radio, Strauss is atypical for a writer. He has good grasp of language and can use an economy of words to make his point. That's a rarity.
Bryan Burwell is the worst of all worlds. I'm not sure who he's trying to impress with his flowery writing style, but it wears thin quickly. It's almost as if he crafts an original draft and then pulls out a thesaurus to smarten it up. And on the radio he uses 1000 words to say things that could be said in 100. It's almost unlistenable.
And I don't think any of them give a flying frick about bashing Mizzou.

Like I said before, I had no qualms with the article. I also don't think there was a whole lot different said in that article than has been said here for months now.

SWIDT?
I do like to read DG on the cards and Matter on MU so I can't say the PD sports is trash.
