Great pic, SoCal!

And as far as Dixon goes, yeah, I'm mad right now - I might calm down later, but now I feel like we've had rapist on our team for 2+ years.

Semo you're right I just read that article it was pretty bad. He threatened to throw her down the stairs if she got pregnant...wow dude you need to be off the team. It's no surprise LMA did nothing about this.

Dixon looks the part on all of these accusations.

The second I saw the first girls tweets, I knew that he didn't really rape her but was just an a-hole and she didn't like being used.

But this second one sounds way worse. He's done.

Looks like a pretty clear pattern of behavior. He deserves what's coming to him.

Agree with you 100%.

He's lucky he's not in jail from the first one from the sound of things. You'd think once someone dodges a bullet they'd learn. The 2012 incident reminded me of an situation I knew about where the girl pretty much ruined a young man's life because she had hurt feelings when he didn't want to date her after a 1-night stand.

The 2010 incident sounds like rape to me, if it's being reported accurately. He should have been gone then.

If it's all as put out in that article, get rid of him and get rid of him now. Again, assuming all of that is true, I hope she now changes her mind and presses charges.

She may be past the statute of limitations. I think it's 2 years in Missouri. It's not like they didn't know who did it, or that there are any other details that could extend the statute - she said then she didn't want to press charges, and didn't change her mind, apparently. Sad though - there are so many women who don't pursue it for the exact same reasons.

If Mike Anderson knew about this, could this have repercussions on Mizzou althetic programs? Death penalty type shite?

Now I'm worried.

There is no statue of limitation for forcible rape.

I think they'd be ok right now. But the risk they run by keeping him around is if he rapes someone else, the University is in the middle of a shite storm civilly and from the NCAA.

I don't think we would be facing any sanctions over this. Unless the department or coach is found to have engaged in tampering or intimidation in some way. I'm sure Anderson knew about it. Some guys over on Tigerboard were remembering there was an incident with a tutor back in 2010. This is probably it. Now, if victim 1 was the tutor, and didn't press charges because she was afraid of retaliation by the athletic dept? That could be bad. But, I don't think we know that, and it's a big leap unless she says she was threatened to keep her mouth shut. Which I doubt.

But it might be best to cut Dixon loose before anything else comes out of the woodwork.

Yeah, I only put that out there because I think they should re-open that case and pursue it frankly.

The article clearly states that the accuser felt remorse from Anderson, to the point where he cried when he listened to her story. He told her that he could not do anything unless she reported it to the police. It also says that she felt no pressure.

However, it did mention that she was advised to quit her job...not because the school was trying to influence her decision, but simply to distance herself from Dixon.

Why do I feel that a storm is brewing on the horizon?

Probably because it is. There's definitely a black cloud hanging around.

There's the problem. In cases of sexual harassment, it's the employer's responsibility to make sure the victim is protected at her job, and feels safe. If the University advised her to quit - that's a problem.

Frick him. He gone.

Eta: I posted on Mizzou Talk that there could be more people coming forward. It wouldn't surprise me if a couple more young ladies came forward now. I don't know anything, but it certainly seems unlikely that his boorishness/rapishness was confined to these two girls.

Do those laws apply to a student athlete? Can his actions put the University at risk? He's not an employee of the University. If it wasn't such a disgusting thing to talk about, I'd say that's a good question.

Regardless, time to get rid of him. Honestly, I'm kind of surprised they've kept him around this long given that first allegation of rape.
