I'm going to assume he is gone for good.
How will we remember Mauk? Back-to-back Division Champ QB? Playing hard and winning. Or the troubled Maty? His two suspensions and inconsistent play. Or some mix of the two?
We all know what you get from MM on the field by now. He did not seem to progress as a QB. His legs were his best weapon. I will never miss his famous "WTF pass" at least each game. You know, scrabbling left then throwing off the wrong foot across the field into at least double coverage. The Mauk "arm punt". He got away with it in HS, but not the SEC. For whatever reason(s), I don't think he could generally see the field adequately. He loved to sling it.

This kid I went to HS with( doesn't know shite about college sports) told me Thursday how Mauk was suspended again. My brother and I felt kinda sorry in a way for a kid trying to spread stupid rumors so we were like, ya ok.
How the hell did he know this that long before anyone else?!?

Where do I sign up for that? Would free up so much time.

Mauk was still getting high almost every day during his suspension. He's a jag off and treats people like shite. He deserves to get the boot.

Yeah, I hope this is FIRST hand knowledge because that's a hell of an accusation.

As a gunslinger who never worked to improve.
One of the great "what if" talents in Mizzou history.

I'm pretty sure it's more than him getting rowdy at a bar. I heard from multiple people he got caught slinging drugs.
I heard the same thing. Not from what I'd call a rock solid source so I wasn't going to mention it, but according to this story the "dust up" at the bar wasn't about being drunk and mouthing off. It was about money owed and not paid.

Money he had not paid or money he was owed?
Geez. How far in is this kid? He needs to be careful in more ways than one.

Or a Lifetime movie. All we need is the loyal girlfriend who believes in him and wants to save him from himself. Stupid arse chicks.

Semo start writing the script. I will start interviewing the potential gf candidates. My wife will be supportive of this endevour because it is all about the story.

I can't pass for the 19 year old college girl anymore, so I'll play his mom. And write a special scene where I kick his arse and tell him I didn't raise a stupid kid, so he better straighten up and fly right, cuz I brought him into the world and can take him right back out.
Then I'll feed him and tell him he better eat every damn thing on his on his plate, including the vegetables, because there are staving kids in Africa who would love to have those peas. And when he says, "Mom, I'm not a kid!" I'd say, "Really? Cuz it seems like I'm looking at freaking Peter Pan right now!" Then I'd point to his plate and start counting... "One...two...Boy, you don't want me to get to three!"
Then I'd whip up some tears, tell him his family doesn't need this from him, and tell him to clean up after himself because I need to go to church and pray. "You need Jesus, child! I have to go light a candle! I still love you, but you need Jesus!"
There. Did I cover all the childhood cliches?

We need to have a piece on where you scarred his childhood or some other life changing event that would have occurred at an early age.
Posted on 11/4/15 at 10:58 am to everytrueson
Hmmm. Life scarring event. I'm gonna go with the babysitter and precocious sexual behavior. Combined with pressure to be like his brother. Ya think? I think it fits.
