I still want to know if the rumors of Kul sharing the playbook with other coaches is true. If it is, it would facilitate Odom blowing up the scheme.
The Cross stuff seems to make more sense though, especially from an Xs and Os standpoint.

Seems reasonable enough.
Still hoping he does hire a DC this offseason. I don't think the idea was wrong, just the wrong guy.

If BO doesn't think he needs a DC so be it.
Why piss a salary away on Walters when it can be put to good use like keeping Huepel and Elerbee and Brick?

As long as BO wants to be heavily involved in the defense, he’s not going to hire an established DC.
Walters makes sense if you look at their history. BO hired Walters at Memphis. Then did it again at Mizzou when BO was DC. When BO was hired as HC, he kept Walters. Then he promoted Walters.
That seems pretty obvious that BO likes him and that they work well together. Walter is also a good recruiter, that’s handling most of the DC responsibilities now.
It also seems like the defensive struggles from last year and early this year are mostly on Cross.

Then what BO wants at DC is someone who stands and holds the clipboard... Walters fits that bill.. Surely not worth anything close to what a real DC makes.

Thanks! I think I'm good. I once got banned for making a thread in the OT lounge honoring the William T. Sherman statue. I literally just posted a picture of the statue and said "god bless this man for keeping America free" or something like that during the time they were tearing down the the Robert E. Lee statue in New Orleans. I pissed those southerners right the frick off and got permabanned across all boards for that. It still makes me chuckle thinking about how I got the ultimate punishment for something as simple as that, praising a union general.

Because if something is working u don’t frick with it. You also don’t just bring someone in just because that’s what everyone else does.
