Walters ain’t getting fired baw. We were severely outmatched. Missing 3 starters, Bolton playing at about 50% and Gillespie went down during the game too.
Our DL sucks. Need to upgrade talent and depth. We just got manhandled and coaching had nothing to do with it

Not responding to this game. I just want an upgrade and a better chance at improving recruiting. Walters did a fine job imo. Mason, I believe helps us in the living rooms more. We need talent year in and year out. I would also bring Vernon Hargreaves back just for recruiting.

They could’ve retained Hargreaves. They didn’t. That hasn’t changed.

The guy can recruit. We have the coach, we are adding facilities, without bagmen, we need 1 or 2 recruiting mercenaries.

Mason could get a job at any higher profile defensive coordinator school.
LSU should be the first to recruit him and he'd gladly take that opportunity.

Although I didn't understand Drink retaining Walters and allowing Hargreaves to walk.. It was his call.
I honestly don't see him replacing Walters after one year.

Mason could go to the Illini. He would have a much better chance of winning there than he ever had at Vandy. AD's know this and I think the Illini would be a good choice.

You don't replace Walters because of performance. You replace Walters if and only if Mason will come. This isn't about Walters being bad, its about taking the next step in recruiting. Mason as part of our staff, would kill it in the living room of SEC caliber recruits. He is a class act, knows his stuff and would be a great 1-2 with Drink.
