I've got this on very good authority from someone that I trust 100%.

I was told that the notion that Lock's future was tied to Heupel's as being WAY overblown. He likes college. He feels he has a lot more he can accomplish at this level and with his entire OL returning he is not concerned with injury. He has a deep love for Mizzou and thinks the team can have a special year next year.

The only thing that would make him leave is if he hates the OC hire, but that seems very unlikely.

Our OC position should be very attractive for candidates.

Well, if true, this is good news. I can't help but feel we've dealt with one blow after another these last couple of years. It'd be nice to see some stability

It's no different than any other school.

There is no stability in college sports. Players have limited eligibility and coaches move all the time. Best you can hope for is a HC that it is in for the long haul. Guys like Hill and Ford are incredibly rare.

No there are better options on staff than Hill.

I really hope he stays. He can be an early Heisman hopeful if he does.

But please pump the brakes on Hill being named OC. He wasn't good as a QB coach and the receivers were terrible without him. Also, if Lock stays then this OC position has to be one of the best available in the country with Lock at QB and all of the returning talent on offense.

I don’t think hill and ford even aspire to be coordinators. That’s why they have lasted so long. They like being coaches and will do the job asked of them. They want to retire here and not have to move their families.

The trashy Hugh Freeze is lobbying for the OC job. That's enough to get the whole offensive starting lineup to either transfer or put their name in the hat for the CFL.

Kiper and McShay don’t have him as their top 5 rated QB’s.

Was thinking the same thing but he's been past over multiple times......curious as to why.
